“OMG!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 24, 2012

We had lunch here on the terrace. The food was amazing. I had the most amazing garden salad that came with a little tart, nice cheese, and the freshest vegetables and greens. Service was good -- responsive but unobtrusive. The place filled up quickly so we were lucky to arrive early enough to beat the crowd (right before noon).

“Good food, nice view”

very traditional french cooking with good quality and correct prizing. nice ambiente with an astonishing view from the terrace. They also rent rooms at reasonable prizes. Worth a stay for a short break in this nice area.

“Good food and great service... outstanding views”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2012

A fab local restaurant with lovely, friendly service. We went for lunch last week and enjoyed it very much. My one disappointment was my main course: mackerel fishcakes which were probably not the wisest choice given that it's not very near the sea! But the goat's cheese patties for starters and the faisselle (very very fresh and wobbly goats' cheese eaten with sugar, like a set yogurt - I think this is what a previous reviewer was talking about) for pudding were good, as was hubby's chicken stew. This is a lovely spot for a good relaxed lunch where you'll be well looked after by staff.

“So good we went twice”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2012

We stumbled on this restaurant/hotel in Venasque when staying nearby in Vaucluse for a week. Venasque itself is a lovely place to visit (The Baptistry should not be missed), and Les Remparts is sited half-way up the main street with stunning views of the surrounding hillsides. We had lunch there twice (made a special journey back just to have a second meal). It has a great mix of tradition and modernity. We had their special salads, which were delicious, as were their soups and puddings. Friendly, informal service and very good value for the quality of the food. I was also impressed they have a 'prix fixe' Vegetarian Menu. Strongly recommended.

“Great view and fair local cuisine”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2012

If you are in the region of Gordes take the small road to Venasque if you are looking for a regional lunch. Local cuisine at a fair price. Great view outside.
