Our watercolor workshop had the pleasure of staying at this charming inn for a week. Martine and Jerome, the innkeepers, were excellent hosts and cooks. (Martine can make a mean cherry creme brulee with her blowtorch!) The common room was friendly and comfortably furnished for our group of 10 and had wi-fi, which was important to those of us who wanted to keep in touch with family in the U.S. The Marets have a home in Morocco, too, and there are furnishings and artifacts from Morocco that add to the charm of the decor. The views of Mt. Ventoux and the countryside from our comfortable rooms and the balcony were magnificent, and many of us painted the panorama. The village is small and quaint and served as a base for our many excursions to paint in other villages nearby, such as Joucas, Gordes, Isle sur la Sorgue, and others a bit further away. All in all, my stay at la maison aux Volets Bleus was tres fantastiique.
