“Beautiful grounds, great town!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2012 via mobile

Beautiful view behind hotel with walking path, fountain, trees, plants. Lobby was pretty, exterior attractive, well kept and clean. Trolley stop in front of hotel, accessible to historic area and other shopping/eating areas. Room was clean. Slight odor in sink/water line. Separate building for breakfast area which was nice. Breakfast choices were excellent. Room was average/ordinary with a small bathroom.
We will definately stay there again when we return!

I am so glad to hear you had an enjoyable stay with us here at The Comfort Inn! I'm sorry to hear you had an issue with a smell in your room and I'll have our maintenance staff look into that. I just want you to know that there is a lot of behind the scenes work that goes into keeping our grounds and garden areas beautiful all year round and we're so happy to hear when guest's enjoy all our hard work. I'm also excited to hear that you enjoyed our breakfast. We strive to be the best in our brand with our breakfast, with the many different things we offer, like quiche, biscuits and gravy, Belgian waffles and on and on! We hope you choose to stay with us again soon. Thank you for the positive review!

We made our annual fall, leaf-viewing, October visit to Eureka last week. Unfortunately, the locals say we missed the best part of the leaf color by about a week (they had strong winds when the recent cold front came through, which took off most of the good leaves)...but the good news is that our stay here was excellent, as always.

The staff is friendly and helpful, the breakfast is better that what many restaurants here serve, and the breakfast staff is very nice, too. The recent upgrades at this property, which I mentioned in my last review, continue. With new flat-screen TVs, new mattresses and bedding, and upgraded bathrooms...all very nice and much-appreciated, especially in light of the apparent deterioration of the tourist business here in Eureka.

Each time we come, the town looks a little more "slumped over" (more vacant businesses and run-down buildings). The soft economy is really taking its toll on this area...by the way Branson, Mo is also severely affected by this same trend. So, it is surprising to see this Comfort Inn making this investment in upgrades, in the face of declining tourism. Looks like they have decided to compete more aggressively for whatever business is still out there.

Room Tip: Ask to be in the main building, on the pool side (this gets you away from the street noise). Otherw...

One of our stops to Eureka Springs, AR was to see the old downtown and see the glass church. We deceided to book on line after seeing the beautiful view and pretty hotel. It was exactly what was showed online. The hotel was beautiful. The rooms where clean and quiet. We had a wonderful view of the colors of trees for this time of year. Check in was quick and very pleasant. The breakfast was wonderful. Alot to choose from. Would stay again. Lady at breakfast was very helpful. Outside was decorated very nice.

Room Tip: Sleep on the backside so not noisy from road traffic.

Stayed here for 2 nights. The front desk was very friendly and helpful. At first there was a problem with our room reservation, but the manager did correct the problem. The biggest problem was that there was a motor cycle rally in town and our parking lot was full of motorcycles and some tents and folding tables. THE BEST PART OF STAYING HERE WAS THE BREAKFAST. THE 2 LADIES WHO OVERSAW THE BREAKFAST WERE GREAT. WE HAD 2 DIFFERENT FRESHLY MADE QUICHES ALONG WITH HOMEMADE BANANA BREAD, COFFEE CAKE AND MUFFINS. THERE WAS SCRAMBLED EGGS AND ALL THE OTHER NORMAL BREAKFAST FOODS. I TOLD HE MANAGER HOW LUCKY THEY WERE TO HAVE BOTH OF THEM. If we go back to Eureka Springs I would stay here again.

Room Tip: Stay in the back away from the street side. Gets busy and noisy.

Pros: reasonably priced, beautiful grounds, great hospitality, plenty of parking, elevator. Son proclaimed, "best breakfast ever" because of quiche, biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, waffles, cereal, 4 different juices, and HOMEMADE banana bread and pecan bread. Oh my....it was GOOD.

Cons: room had that hotel smell...room was merely average, nothing special. Not bad, just average

Final note: Would I stay there again? Yes!

Very friendly staff, the gardens well kept and beautiful. Breakfast was outstanding, quiche, scrambled eggs, sausage gravy with fresh out of the oven biscuits. There are cereals, muffins, fresh fruit, juices, anything you might want for breakfast. Now for the room...the mattress had been upgraded and very comfortable, flat screen tv was nice. The carpets could have used a good cleaning. The worst part of the room was the bathroom, there was a strong odor of urine even after cleaning with disinfectant wipes. It just needed a good scrubbing with bleach.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 110.

I'm glad to hear some positive amongst the bad. I'm so sorry you felt your bathroom wasn't as clean as it could have been. I will pass it on to my head housekeeper, so we can make sure this doesn't happen again. We would consider it an honor to have you return and give us a chance to make it right.
