From the time we entered the Grand Taverne to the time we left; our server Crystal gave us excellent service. We shared their famous scallops in lobster creme sauce and it was excellent! Our caesar salad came next. The dressing was a little sour, but the rest of the meal made up for it. We ordered pork medallions for our entree and it was tender with a perfect salt/pepper crust that just made the entree!. They are famous here for their dauphnoise potatoes and although the special was with mashed potatoes, they gladly switched. Make sure you order these when you come. It is Chef Daves' crowning achievement! Because it was our anniversary and my husband let them know when we made our reservations; Chef Dave had prepared a beautiful presentation on a white plate of "Happy Anniversary" in chocolate around the rim with death my chocolate cake with raspberry and vanilla creme sauce. To die for! Thanks for making our Anniversary special! I really love the Victorian feel of this hotel. It is NOT Dated but timeless and the tables were so beautiful when we walked in.
