May 3rd, 2013.... Toney and I began our road trip to spend a three-day vacation in Eureka Springs. As we neared Eureka, I called the Innkeeper, Randee at Red Bud Manor to let her know of our estimated time of arrival, and she was very accommodating to let us have a late check in. Having been my first time at a bed and breakfast, I was a little apprehensive as to what to expect at such a place, but I knew by the tone of her voice we had made a good decision to stay at Red Bud Manor. Sure enough, when we arrived at the bed and breakfast, we couldn't have been more impressed by the beautiful and quaint porch seating arrangements, rich red arbor entrance, black wrought iron fence, and unique signage out front. After parking, we walked through the elegant red arbor entrance and up to the screen door where I heard a familiar cheerful voice which I only heard over the phone a few times before, welcoming us to Red Bud Manor. It was Randee the Innkeeper and was exactly what I was expecting... Very gracious, pleasant and eager to tell us all about this beautiful Bed and Breakfast! Once inside the main parlor, we were wowed by the relaxed, comfy, tastefully decorated home full of unique fine art, sculptures, lighting, huge formal dining table, chandeliers, and soft music..... I was already sold! As Randee was telling us about what to expect during our stay, the screen door opens from behind us and in walks the owner Catherine. She was glowing with such a positive energy and so grateful that we were there to stay at her awesome bed and breakfast!
With room key in hand, Randee leads us out the front door, across the front porch, and down a very tranquil rock garden trail lined with fresh herbs, flowers, and a very quaint water fountain( enough tranquility to drain out any excess stress from a days travel). At the bottom of the trail we were at our room called the Carriage Room. Flanked by beautiful red trim, Randee unlocks our door, and upon entering, we were pleasantly impressed by a beautiful queen size bed, gourmet coffee maker, fine art, Tiffany lamp, mini fridge( stocked with complimentary water), luxury linens, and even a bottle of red wine! Wow! You cant get this treatment at a hotel people! But the red carpet treatment wasn't over yet.... We found a treasure in a small glass-covered dish! Red velvet cookies! Made by the fabulous Randee herself.... But sadly they were gone in five seconds flat hehe.... Don't judge people.... We were two guys on a road trip looking for fine foods, desserts, hospitality, history, art, and culture..... We had arrived! Also, because it was wet and cold that weekend, Catherine offered us hot tea, honey, and chocolates and brought it to our room while settling in. Awesome!
The next day we were all ( all guests of the bed and breakfast) at breakfast at 9:00am where we met a fantastic family from Houston, TX, and treated to an exquisite breakfast of fresh fruit, delicious homemade quiche, fresh coffee, and orange juice all served by the awesome Randee! So delicious! Catherine even took time to sit with us and give a rich detailed history of Eureka Springs!
After a night of restful sleep on such a comfy bed, we all met for breakfast again at 9:00 am and gorged on fresh fruit, French toast to die for, tasty sausages, coffe and orange juice again! Catherine amazed us all by volunteering to look up the meaning of dreams after breakfast and conversations flowed endlessly! She even went out of her way to have a tailor come by and take a look at a shirt I needed a button sewed onto and did it while I was sleeping! Above and beyond for sure!
Randee was such a kind sole to even give us more cookies while we were out all that day in historic Eureka Springs... And such a clean and inviting room to come back to!
Remember this place everyone! Red Bud Manor.... You will NOT be disappointed! Catherine and Randee have the best compassion and happiness to share with many people to come. As a first timer.... I personally give it 5 stars!!!!! We will return and stay at no other place but Red Bud Manor! Thank you Catherine and Randee for being such gracious and accommodating hosts for our well-spent trip to Eureka Springs! Much love and we will see you again soon! Book a room soon everyone!!!!!!
