We recently were privileged to stay at Arsenic and Old Lace B&B in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Our delightful hosts, Beverly and Doug Breitling made our stay an extraordinary experience. Our nicely appointed room, Chantilly Rose, afforded us a lovely view of the rear yard which allowed us to see the many colorful birds native to the area. We also enjoyed the wildlife that came to partake of the feed made available to them.
The food was beyond our expectations. The full gourmet breakfasts served each morning were delicious. Menu items included, but not limited to, Glazed Fruit Fiesta, Swedish Scones, Three Cheese Breakfast Frittata, and Grand Marnier French Toast . These were accompanied by well prepared bacon and sausage. The table service was elegant.
During the day our hosts made us feel at home by allowing us access to the kitchen and the many homemade treats provided. A variety of beverages were accessible, as were the chocolate chip cookies, brownies, biscotti and Chipotle Apple Pecan Cake. In the evening munchies and wine were at our disposal.
Sitting on the wrap around porch of this beautiful new victorian home, enjoying the overhead fans and rocking in the wicker chairs gave us a taste of the past while enjoying the amenities of the present.
Our trip to Eureka Springs was greatly enhanced by our stay at Arsenic and Old Lace B&B. We recommend it highly.
