“The perfect escape”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 18, 2013

We chose the Arsenic and Old Lace Bed and Breakfast this past weekend for our fifth anniversary. We had never stayed in a bed and breakfast before, nor had we been to Eureka Springs. However, we were ever so pleased with both. The Inn was beautiful and in immaculate condition regarding both condition and cleanliness. We chose the Monet room and loved the fireplace, view, whirlpool tub, and double shower. On future visits we would also like to try the Chantilly Rose room and the Tree Top suite. We were able to see both of those and loved them as well.
Doug and Beverly were excellent hosts. They were full of recommendations. Breakfast each morning was divine.
We stayed for two nights and just moments after returning home wanted to return back to the tranquility of Arsenic and Old Lace!

Green Features: It was obvious that the innkeepers were very environmentally friendly. I am an avid recycler and especially appreciated the opportunity to recycle while at the inn.

The accommodations were wonderful and the location was far enough away from the crowds, but close enough to walk to the center of town. The hosts were so nice and very knowledgeable of the area including restaurants and nearby areas of interest. Oh, and the breakfasts were out of this world, and served at the scheduled time. We will definitely stay here whenever we return to Eureka Springs.

Room Tip: We liked The Library. The veranda by the door offered a nice view and privacy.

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at the Arsenic and Old Lace B&B on a recent visit to Eureka Springs. The house and grounds are lovely, and within walking distance to the center part of Eureka Springs. (This is important because of how difficult it is to drive and park in the center part of the town.) The hosts are lovely, warm, inn keepers who do everything possible to make your stay in Eureka Springs a pleasure. The breakfasts were great, and the view off the front porch of the inn is lovely.

The only caveat I would offer is that the B&B is decorated in a manner that one might expect given the name. Think lace, pastels, floral prints, etc.. We thought it homey and nice, but if you are looking for the young, hip, "W" kind of experience, this is probably not your place. That caveat aside, Arsenic and Old Lace is a terrific B&B in Eureka Springs and I recommend it to TA readers.

FABULOUS!!!! Arsenic and Old Lace exceeded the expectations of the entire group. The home is cozy and beautifully decorated. The wonderful hosts were very welcoming and knowledgeable of the area. They provided every detail of what we needed to do in Eureka Springs without having to ask. The food was delicious and accommodations superb. Highly recommend this B&B!

Arsenic and Old Lace offers a relaxing homelike atmosphere in tourist filled Eureka Springs. There is a trolley stop at the base of the driveway. We did not use the trolley, but this stop would be very helpful for a longer stay as parking downtown is difficult.
The breakfast was outstanding, and the view from the rooms was beautiful.

We stayed in the Tree Top Suite and it was lovely. Loved the tall windows surrounding the bed with such a pretty view. We loved being able to open the bathroom window and hear the nature and feel the coolness. It was an exceptional experience. Doug and Beverly were so informative and familiar with the area and helpful in every way. The food was excellent. We look forward to our next visit!

My wife and I stayed here for the weekend. Arsenic and Old Lace was great! We stayed in the library room. Very clean, bed was comfortable. Doug was very friendly and informative. His wife is an excellent cook!! We are already planning a trip back!! The town was very historical. If you are interested in going stay at Arsenic and Old Lace and make sure you try the Local Flavor Cafe and Gaskins Cabin you will not be disappointed!!
