“Had a great stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2006

The Arsenic and Old Lace Bed and Breakfast in Eureka Springs was everything that we had hoped for as a weekend get away. The hosts, Doug and Beverly Breitling were warm and welcoming while providing a first class operation which included a wonderful breakfast each morning. Their home is beautiful and immaculately clean and they could not have been more helpful in suggesting what to see and where to eat. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend their B&B to all my family and friends. Marc Fanning

“Perfection at Arsenic and Old Lace”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2006

We recently were privileged to stay at Arsenic and Old Lace B&B in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Our delightful hosts, Beverly and Doug Breitling made our stay an extraordinary experience. Our nicely appointed room, Chantilly Rose, afforded us a lovely view of the rear yard which allowed us to see the many colorful birds native to the area. We also enjoyed the wildlife that came to partake of the feed made available to them.

The food was beyond our expectations. The full gourmet breakfasts served each morning were delicious. Menu items included, but not limited to, Glazed Fruit Fiesta, Swedish Scones, Three Cheese Breakfast Frittata, and Grand Marnier French Toast . These were accompanied by well prepared bacon and sausage. The table service was elegant.

During the day our hosts made us feel at home by allowing us access to the kitchen and the many homemade treats provided. A variety of beverages were accessible, as were the chocolate chip cookies, brownies, biscotti and Chipotle Apple Pecan Cake. In the evening munchies and wine were at our disposal.

Sitting on the wrap around porch of this beautiful new victorian home, enjoying the overhead fans and rocking in the wicker chairs gave us a taste of the past while enjoying the amenities of the present.

Our trip to Eureka Springs was greatly enhanced by our stay at Arsenic and Old Lace B&B. We recommend it highly.

“wonderful place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2006

We were married in the garden and stayed 3 nights at the Inn. We stayed in the Monet room, it was fabulous. Doug and Beverly are wonderful hosts and they both know how to cook an awesome breakfast. This is by far the best place to stay in Eureka Springs. We will be returning again!!!!

“Wonderful B & B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 14, 2006

My husband and I have stayed in Bed and Breakfast Inns throughout the country and we were delighted with Arsenic and Old Lace. The room was spacious, the home lovely and very inviting. Breakfast was delicious and everything homemade by the Innkeepers. We went to an outdoor event and rain was expected, so the Breitling's gave us cushions to sit on in the ampitheater, an umbrella and a throw to cover us in case it got chilly (which it did). We have never found innkeepers who were as concerned for our welfare as Doug and Beverly. We have already recommended Arsenic and Old Lace to many of our friends and would not hesitate to recommend to anyone. I'm pleased to know of this rating system.

“Elegance in the Ozarks”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 14, 2006

We wanted a special place to celebrate our 37th anniversary. We had seen some good shows in Branson and were on our way to the Blue Ridge Mts. We wanted to spend a romantic restful time and Arsenic and Old Lace was perfect. Doug and Beverly had thought of everything to set the stage. Each room is finely appointed, each balcony has tranquility plus nature at its finest. Our hosts hospitality and excellent recommendations of what to do, where to eat and a little history thrown in for good measure made us want to stay there in our new found oasis. Breakfast was delicious, and Beverly even sent muffins with us for the rest of our journey to the mountains. We have stayed at numberous B&B's and found Arenic and Old Lace to be at the top of our list and would recommend it to our most discrimating friends.
