“Pleasant place to spend the weekend with your spouse.”

The rooms were very clean and comfortable. They were decorated with nice antiques and just felt like home. The Lauren suite is where we stayed and there was nothing over the top lavish or luxurious about it but it was a wonderful experience. The breakfast and desserts were wonderful and the staff was absolutely perfect. I will be returning. The location is nice with a $10 cab ride to downtown but being on the highway it is easy to find and makes a good basecamp. Clean comfortable and charming

I have traveled extensively throughout the years, and this is by far my favorite B&B I've ever stayed in. We were there on a weekend getaway and chose the Evening Shade Honeymoon Cottage. Check-in was a breeze, everything was ready early, and we were provided with helpful info about Eureka Springs.

Everything in the room was perfect. Bed was extremely comfortable, with extra pillows and blankets provided, if needed. The room was immaculate and cozy. The extra added touches were wonderful - complimentary soda and water in the fridge, chocolates by the bed, candles by the Jacuzzi, afternoon desserts and hot breakfast delivered to your door exactly when requested.
The afternoon desserts were amazing. The breakfasts were outstanding and delicious. We chose to eat breakfast outside one morning on the back deck because of the view: trees, sunlight peeking through, birds and deer. The deck was shaded enough in the morning with a beautiful breeze. There was also a swing on the deck so we were able to sit outside in the evening as well.

Evening Shade is close to downtown, but feels like it's miles away once you get there. It is so peaceful and quiet we didn't want to leave. We will definitely return and would recommend in a heartbeat! Just loved everything about it.

This was just the place hubby and I needed to reconnect with each other and God! Everything from the food to the service was out of this world. Will be going back! We loved getting breakfast delivered to our room before we left for the day and returning with one of the deserts waiting on us. It was a vacation we will never forget. Thank y'all

My wife and I spent two nights for our anniversary at Evening Shade. I would highly recommend it. I was clean, tastefully decorated, and lots of little touches that made the stay a delight. Some of the little touches included: candles by the hot tub, chocolates by the bed, afternoon dessert, hot breakfast delivered to the room, popcorn for an evening snack and a coffee pot with plenty of coffee for our morning wakeup and many others. We enjoyed sitting on the deck near the gazebo and watching wildlife in the evening and stars at night. Couldn't ask for anymore. Although we enjoyed the quaint setting of Eureka Springs with it's winding narrow streets, Evening Shade was just far enough from the downtown to enjoy some peace and quiet with adequate parking and space to breath. A great sitting in the woods.

We had the most romantic anniversary at The Evening Shade Bed and Breakfast. The owners and staff are so friendly and helpful. The room was immaculate. So beautiful and romantic. They had special anniversary napkins set up on the table. Our afternoon dessert was waiting there for our arrival. It was so delicious and beautifully presented. T The decor is beautiful. It was done in vintage Victorian, But not overly frilly. The breakfasts were so very delicious!!! They bring the to your room in a lovely little wicker basket. Fresh fruit and egg entree, bacon, and a yummy sweet.
t is in a wonderful wooded setting but yet still close to town. The first afternoon there, we watched deer walk right past our window and out to the woods across the drive. This happened the next morning and night as well.....their are hummingbird feeders in front of the rooms and every morning you can watch them feed.
There is a beautiful Gazebo and Lilly pad pond. A great setting for a wedding!!!
The room itself is stocked with water, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, popcorn, dishes and silverware. Little chocolates and peppermints, and they restock everyday. These are all included in the room at no extra cost.
They provide robes and the towels are so very softy and BIG too. The bed is a pillow top and so very comfy. The sheets were amazingly soft. The fireplace was so wonderfully romatic.
The rooms are well insulated as we had a newly wed couple in the room next door and you could not hear the tv, jetted tub or any other noises.
There is a Trolley stop right there, that will take you into town and around the area and it is really in expensive.
I would HIGHLY recommend this little place for a very romantic getaway. You will be glad you went there!!
I had photos to post, but unfortunately my camera had issues.

Room Tip: The Olivia Honeymoon Suite is beautiful, but we also looked at the other rooms and cabins and they t...

We loved our stay at Evening Shade. The cottage was super clean. roomy, and the surroundings are lovely. They thought of everything and the breakfast was even better than we expected. We will be back soon.
