“A last minute decision turned out to be not bad”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 9, 2012

My husband and I decided at the last minute to go to Eureka Springs for the Labor Day weekend. We found this motel online and booked it. It is an older place but very clean. The owners (and their dog) are very friendly. The cleaning staff was very helpful and offered fresh towels even though we did not have them clean the room. The shower was great, good pressure and temperature. The beds were hard, but we are used to our feather bed. The second night we slept better.

Stayed three nights. Owners were friendly and so were most of the guests. The hotel was clean inside and out. What I liked best was that most of the rooms had a table with chairs on the outside. The hotel is also located close to the main tourist district.

Stopped with no reservation Thursday, got a room but was told they were booked for the coming weekend. Older but clean property, wierdass room decorations (stuffed animals). Limited continental breakfast - cinammon rolls and coffee. This is a funky older property but OK for a road stop.

Room Tip: We stayed on the bottom floor in the very back - very secluded.

We decided to go to the Blues Festival at the last minute and this Motel was about all that was left and we got the last room. We stayed Friday night, June 1st. We paid 89.00 + tax for a room with two queen beds. Granted, it's Blues weekend so the price was jacked. This is the first time we stayed at this motel so I don't know anything about the rooms with King beds. Needless to say, we probably will not go back. Next year we will make reservations at a nicer place and we won't wait till the last minute.
I will start by saying that the queen beds are very hard, uncomfortable and old. The table in our room was lop sided and ready to fall down. The shower does have good pressure and consistant temperature and it's ok....if you're short. Towels? Bring your own lol. They are like large hand towels, I kid you not. There is no coffee maker. There is no hair dryer, we had to go to Berryville to Walmart and buy one. There is a good size refrigerater in the room and also a microwave. The Refrigerater does work well. It turned out rainy and chilly (60 degrees) and we did not bring jackets or long pants so we ended up back at the motel after dinner because no bands were playing in the park. Therefore, we watched TV.... the TV's in the rooms with the queen beds are very outdated as are the rooms. The rooms were clean, I didn't see anything weird...they are just very old. The pool looked pretty decent.
The location of this Motel is good and it was pretty quiet, we were on the back side. The people at the front desk were very nice. I think they had a free continental breakfast but we did not take advantage of that. If you ever go to Eureka Springs and this motel is where you are thinking about staying, I would probably ask to look at a room with a King bed...those may be different.

There were bed bugs and lice in the rooms. When brought to the attention of the owner, he said "no charge for the additional room mates". We had to seek medical attention to cure the lice. Do not stay at this hotel!

Room Tip: Best room is not at this hotel.
