So disappointed. Had talked to owner/manager over phone who made it sound really wonderful and never heard from her once we got there. We ordered a package deal that was nothing like what they promised over the phone. And it was not a deal. The rooms are okay, a little worn in spots but still nice and clean enough, but the bathroom was seriously scary. Hot tub was peeling and funky, lights were out, no robes, no slippers, and had to ask for fresh towels. Toilet was in a little closet with a swinging door that wouldn't stay shut and there was no light. It was also barely big enough to turn around and sit down. Management was non-existent. Hot tub is out in the middle of the yard, and there were hotels & other b&bs right next door. Not romantic at all. Silver tray breakfast consisted of apple juice, 4 slices of some unrecognizable bread, an orange and a handful of grapes. The silver tray breakfast was also only for one morning. Was promised chocolate covered strawberries, spa basket and "all sorts of little surprises" -which never materialized. Kitchen had cracked, peeling countertops with burn marks. Was told there was a coffee/beverage bar - it was a 4 cup coffee maker with 2 bags of coffee and a few tea bags. And we had to ask for more coffee. For close to $200 a nite, and almost $600 for the weekend package (with taxes) we felt pretty stupid. By the time the weekend was over we just wanted to go home. ES is a lovely town, I recommend the carriage ride thru the Crescent Hotel, and DaVito's was really good and reasonably priced. If we go back to Eureka Springs, we'll try the Cliff Cottage or anywhere but here. We really felt taken for a ride on this one, we've stayed at several other b&b's before and always had a wonderful time. Could kick myself for not doing better research on this one, don't make the same mistake we did.
