“A grand adventure”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 24, 2012 via mobile

We stayed in one of their "best" rooms. It was an impromptu visit. Very last minute. The room was lovely. The jacuzzi older and performed more like a huge fountain but provided laughs. The staff were great. Coffee yummy and our bed was great
A super value, but a word of caution. No elavator! Truly a trip back in time. Worth it to pack light!

Back again for my wifes birthday weekend!! This is and WILL be our destination when we stay in Eureka. The town itself has a charm all to its own. We find ourselves coming to Eureka 6-7 times per year and have stayed many different places. The folks here are so wonderful and genuine that we now keep up with a few of them via Facebook and happy to call them friends. Don't waste your vacation anywhere else. If your looking to stay somewhere that you WILL absolutely enjoy your stay.. You found your home away from home.

Go back to another time when there were grand hotels, large rooms, hand made furniture and decorations, no elevators, creaking floors and stairs, and maybe even a ghost or two. Very clean and very old. Very excellent and knowledgable staff.

Room Tip: I you are going to climb, climb high

This hotel was ideally located in the city for shopping and dinning. It is hard to drive around and park so having a hotel in a good location is important. The staff was very friendly. The room was nice. This is a very old hotel, antique furniture, creaking floors, but nothing was run down. Very romantic.

We stayed at the New Orleans Hotel as part of a one-night getaway/romantic evening. The location is perfect - park your car (or have them park it for you if you are wary of those steep, windy streets) and walk to everything. We stayed in a lovely suite on the 3rd floor (but beware - no elevators) that had a beautiful big bathtub and windows with an incredible view of the fall foliage. Yes, the hotel is older (and that is part of the charm of the whole town), but the room never felt lacking in anything we needed. It felt more "updated antique" than "old." The hotel has balconies stretching across the front that all guests have access to. We brought a bottle of wine out there to enjoy the people watching in the evening and did the same in the morning with our coffee. The folks at the front desk can tell you about every restaurant in the area - just tell them what you are interested in and they will point you in the right direction. And the complimentary breakfast was nice as well - much nicer than your typical continental fare. We have also stayed at the Basin Park Hotel (right across the street) in the past and found the New Orleans MUCH nicer - both the rooms and the people.

If you're planning to visit Eureka Springs, I highly recommend staying at The New Orleans Hotel & Spa. The current owner has done a wonderful job of renovating the Victorian era hotel. The rooms have been tastefully remodeled with the conveniences of today and very nice furniture (real furniture, not junk) which maintains the ambiance of the Victorian era. Located directly in the historic district, you need not worry about parking and walking; you simply walk out of the hotel's lobby and there you are! The hotel's staff are all exceptional and go out of their way to answer any questions you may have and make your stay a pleasant one. With a spa on the premises, you also have the luxury of getting a massage without having to leave the hotel. A stay at The New Orleans Hotel & Spa is a welcome step back in time which I believe you'll enjoy. Good rates for stays of a week or longer.
