We walked into our treehouse cottage on a warm muggy day in May. The air inside our treehouse (which was a log cabin style) was cool and comforting, but the first thing I noticed was the lovely forest music playing. Some of the accent lighting was on and it looked like my fairy godmother had set everything out that I could wish for. There were complimentary drinks in the fridge, and a table setting all ready to go.
The room was perfect, you couldn't see anyone (and I mean anyone or any buildings, etc) from our treehouse. We had local wildlife visit us, including flying squirrels, regular squirrels and a very spoiled raccoon that raided the bird feeder at night. The staff is wonderful and very accommodating, but will leave you alone as you wish. The gift shop is very nice and we had a wonderful romantic, relaxing weekend. We were told that plans were in the works to build more treehouses more outside of Eureka Springs on a mountain, so that would be wonderful.
We left the treehouse ready to book again for next year. Very good for your heart and soul, and not too hard on your pocketbook!!
If you want to book a treehouse, plan to do so well in advance. The weekends are full approximately four to six months in advance and the weekdays fill up as well quite early. So, plan accordingly!

- Treehouse Cottages Hotel
- Official Description (provided by the hotel):
- Treehouse Cottages, est. 1990, were designed and hand built by owners Terry and Patsy Miller. Eureka Springs’ original treehouses are built on 5 wooden poles 22-26 feet off the ground, nestled in a forest of trees. Two locations provide our guests with different lodging options. In town, 3 treehouses are located on a wooded hillside, completely enveloped in a canopy of hardwood trees, yet only minutes from the historic downtown. There is also a 2 story ground level cottage which overlooks the terraced flower garden, and features a hot tub on its own private deck. Just a mile away at our "hidden forest" location are 4 treehouses tucked away in a 33 acre tall pine forest. The ideal place for complete seclusion, enjoy the canopy of lofty trees amidst the quiet sounds of the woods. ... more less
