Ahead of our (July) trip to Eureka Springs, I saw that a burlesque show at Voulez Vous was scheduled for the weekend of our visit. The web site said seating is limited ... "so get your tickets now." I took heed and purchased two tix for $40 online. We also took note of the suggestion to arrive early for "one of the best seats." We arrived 45 minutes early and were seated at a table with a view almost completely obscured by a column. We asked about being seated elsewhere so we could actually see the show, and were told we could sit in the back on a sofa and watch it on a monitor. We did not pay to watch a live show on a monitor! We asked about the nearby empty tables with views of the stage and were told they were reserved. Reserved? You could reserve tables? Once the show started, a couple that came in after us and had a similarly crappy table were moved front and center, while we were completely ignored, I guess for having expressed our displeasure at buying tickets in advance for a show we couldn't see. Leaning and craning to get a glimpse of what was going on on stage became so annoying that we walked out during the second number, tongue-tied and furious. So much for a fun night out for our anniversary. We had looked forward to a good time at what seemed to be kind of a groovy place. But how can you sell tickets to a show for which you cannot provide adequate seating for your patrons to see it? (Additionally, our drink order was messed up.)
