“Great place to stay..”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2012

I have stayed at this hotel at least 5 times per year for the last 5 years. I return to this hotel because even though it is not "The Hilton" it is always clean. It is convenient to everything. Yes it can get noisy at times. But we have never been bothered. We normally ride our motorcycles and have never had any problems with someone bothering them. This I can not say of other places we have stayed. It is a small family run operation and some of the decor is dated but if you are in Eureka Springs you should be out enjoying the beautiful city instead of trying to figure out what is wrong with the room. ENJOY!!

Room Tip: Rooms on the front face the parking lot and can be louder. Rooms on top floor have been updated.

I read other reviews and I decided to stay here anyways and I just checked in and it is great. The room is spacious and clean. Yes there is a dehumidifier in the room but no musty smell so they are aware of that. Very nice place to sleep. Check in was super easy!

Room Tip: the bottom level in the 100's are facing a wooded area and queit!

Thurman's lodge is a nice place to stay. It is easy to access all parts of Eureka that you need to get to. The room was clean and well stocked. There was plenty of hot water. That is not the case always in Eureka. The management also handle customers issues very well. They will go the extra mile to take care of the guest no matter what it takes.

We stayed here and about half of the lights worked in the room. There was no hot water when we tried to take a shower in the morning. There are plenty of nice places to stay in Eureka Springs. This is not one of them. Don't make the mistake we did by staying there.

Recently 6 of us (all over 70 and some over 80) spent 3 nights @ Thurman's Lodge. The rooms were spacious and clean. Everyone of us spoke of sleeping well, comfortable beds, plenty of towels, etc. This was "off season" but we were still able to see a show each night and Mr. Thurman supplied us with enough brochures that had we seen all he gave us we would still be there. We look forward to going back and would make every effort to stay at this motel. My only complaint is there was not a coffee pot in each room and the continental breakfast could have been a little more Americanized. (Like add a slice of bread, toaster and butter and Jelly.) There were those in the group who wanted a hot cup of coffee and something to eat as soon as their feet hit the floor. Still, McDonald's is diagonally across the street and Pancakes isn't far away. And 'though this review is for Thurman's I would definitely recommend the catfish at Catfish Cabin. Eureka Springs is just a super place to go and if you are into jewelry check out Lady Eureka.

Room Tip: Take the Jacuzzi room. ALWAYS

Clean, friendly staff, but the rooms and furnishings are very dated. The carpet throughout this place really needs to be replaced. If you're looking for an inexpensive place to sleep, it's worth the price. The wireless doesn't work on the first (basement) level. Beds are a little hard.

Stayed here many times, the rooms are always clean, service is always outstanding and even though you have to wait for the office to open the coffee is good!

If your looking for the Hilton, don't come to Eureka at all. This is small community full of motels and bed and breakfasts. Thurman's is a great place to lay your head when you come back from the bar.

If you're going to Eureka to stay in your room all day, you picked the wrong place to visit.
