“Fantastic Retreat Tucked Away in the Ozark Mountains”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2013

I discovered the Retreat at Sky Ridge on line while searching for a place to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. Each of the 10 cabins is decorated with a distinct theme throughout. We stayed in cabin 7 (The Naturalist) - really wonderful and the fireplace and Jacuzzi were really the proverbial icing on the cake. Just picture yourself as the sun rises, setting on the front porch of a cabin nestled in amidst a forest of large evergreens, oaks, dogwoods, and many other tree varieties, listening to the birds chirping and other sounds of nature. No road noise, no horns honking, no diesel truck sounds - just you and nature. This is the place! If you stay in the right cabin, you can watch either or both of private stocked ponds and you can even fish them for free if you like. My wife and I truly enjoyed our time there - so did our dogs. Dogs are not only welcome - you are almost encouraged to bring your pet. This makes the Retreat at Sky Ridge seriously unique. Our dogs were welcomed with a treat bag upon arrival and during our stay they enjoyed many long walks within the 140 acres of the property. An added bonus is that the cabins are furnished with a kitchen and most necessary utensils as well as a barbeque grill outside. Not to mention, the bed was a King size and very comfortable. Our visit began on March 17 and ended March 20. Wish that we could have stayed longer. We will be going back!

This place is awesome. The cabins are wonderful. We stayed there right after Christmas and we even had snow while we were there. (Firewood was delivered daily) It was beautiful. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be going back....SOON!

Room Tip: We stayed at the Jungle Jack Cabin. It is so cool.

They got all but one cabin for the wedding party parents and grandparents for 4 days. We all had a great time the will long be remembered. Not a far trip into town were friends and other family member stayed. We had fireworks going off by one of the ponds as part of the events away from city lights everyone enjoy the show. (We brought our own fireworks) Thank you for having a very beautiful place that add to a great part of my daughter wedding. The (When did you travel?) Did not have the date. July 1st to July 5th of 2011 was are stay. I did not go into the other cabins but the one I and my husband was great.

We arrived to find out they had us down for the wrong dates for the cabin we picked. We had to kill a little time while they cleaned another cabin for us- an upgrade, actually. It was absolutely perfect! Fall colors were the best I have ever seen, and the atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. We will be back!!

Finding a wonderful secret in Arkansas was a treat! I travel with my Great Dane and generally have to take what I can get. This trip we were pleasantly suprised. The cabins were awesome and fully stocked. We spent a great deal exploring the grounds and enjoying fantasies of staying here forever! The owners are very accomadating and informative. Close enough to Eurika Springs and far enough to avoid the madness!!! Definitely on my short list again this year!!!
Thanks Guys and Denali said Thanks!

Room Tip: They are all awesome!!!!

My husband and I decided this would be the place for us to go "Elope" about 4 years ago.. I refer people up there all the time... Wonderful service, spectacular views, clean and beautiful cabins.... Eureka Springs is a great little shopping town along with history behind it.. We LOVED it!!!

We have been to retreat at sky ridge two times and will return again. Each cabin is uniquely decorated and has their own amenities. The information and pictures are very accurate so you can make best decision for your needs. We stayed at ranger cabin, and pond cabin. We stayed for two days each time and in September, so no need for air conditioning or heat. The cabins are both comfortable and rustic. We cooked basic meals and grilled, so the kitchen supplies were ok. If staying longer or more elaborate meals may want to bring a few items. This is the only place we have ever stayed with no pet fees or cleaning fees. Call or check face book for special deals. Love sitting on the porches, quiet and beautiful views. Wish ranger cabin had a covered porch where you could see the gorgeous view of beaver lake. Perfect for dogs and very relaxing. Staff is very helpful and friendly. We did not have any problems on both our visits. Only problem is trying to decide which cabin theme to choose next.
