“really cool!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2013

This place is really cool. Our tour leader was really good at what she did. She said she had only been there two months, but she sure sounded like she knew everything! Not sure of her name. This place is one of a kind. A really good family activity, but we were on our honeymoon and it was a really neat thing to switch things up a bit. What a unique experience. Bam-Bam the bear was the coolest!

“Amazing Place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2013

We made our first trip to Turpentine Creek this week. I have read a lot about the refuge through Facebook and their website but was still surprised by all the great work they do there. We stayed over three hours on our visit, taking both the walking tour and the drive tour. It is more than apparent how much the staff and interns love what they do and how much they enjoy caring for the animals. The intern who took us on our walking tour knew every animal well and could tell the story of how the animal arrived at their refuge, any special needs or health issues and also the animal's personality. It was heartbreaking to hear some of the animals' stories and especially to see the results of inbreeding and previous poor care. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and are so glad these animals who had nowhere else to go are receiving such great care and attention.

“Very interesting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2013

I really did not want to view this but since it was my husbands birthday I decided to apease him. It was well worth it. The only downfall is alot of walking and at times it was difficult to hear the intern/tour guide if others were talking. Overall it was interesting

“Awesome Place !!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2013

The people here take wonderful care of the animals. These animals are saved from irresposible people who purchase wild animals and then abuse them in sort sort. Or they are animals that are retured from the circus. This place takes them in and gives them a good home. They are always expanding to give the animals room to roam.
