“A+ Great Place to Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2013

Sonja and Robert Schmid were both very friendly and welcomed us as if we were family. The Lookout Lodge was secure, quiet, and peaceful. The room was the cleanest room we have ever stayed in when traveling. The bed was comfortable, the shower was nice, and the room was beautifully decorated. We will definitely stay at the Lookout Lodge every time we visit Eureka Springs!

Room Tip: We stayed on the "adult only" floor, room #4. It is down stairs, around the back. It ove...

Great beds; lots of hospitality; helpful advice on local eating spots; quiet. Very convenient to the King's River canoe site. We had some unexpected guests who decided to stay over and the owners accommodated us with no problem at all. We will definitely stay here on our next float trip.

We enjoyed our stay at Lookout Lodge very much. The room was clean (probably the cleanest I've ever stayed in), the shower had hot water almost instantly and had good water pressure and the shower curtain was heavy and not the kind that blows in on you while you shower! And the towels were good quality, nice and thick. These things sound pretty mundane, but to me they are very important. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioning worked. What more can you ask for? My only complaint about that is the same that so many places have. The window is over the A/C unit and the air blows up into the curtains, keeping them open at the bottom. Solved that with the clip on the pen I found in the room. The decor is rustic but not overdone.

Every location in Eureka Springs along Rt 62 is a motel. This is the cleanest and most accommodating location I have found in town. The owners go out of their way to make you feel at home. There is nothing I could have asked for that they would not have provided. Almost as good as being at home.

The beds were comfy, the bathroom fully functioning and clean. The rooms had plenty of room. The office has a nice DVD library. They also serve a little continental breakfast in the am. A pool would be nice! The owner was very helpful with trolley and restaurant information.

My husband and I stayed here in November and liked it so much that when we came back up in March with our kids, we stayed here again. The first time we stayed on the Adult Only floor and the second time we were up stairs. Both time ours rooms were nice and clean. The owners were so very nice. Love the way they have the rooms decorated and the beds and pillows were comfy. We loved sitting out on the deck on the adult floor. It was nice and quiet and even watched some deer come thru there. This is a place were we will be going back too.

Kinda redundant, but yes very clean and very quaint. Beds very comfortable. Nice for a night or two in Eureka Springs with a small group or just the two of you. View from "adult floor" was lovely. Lots of rules, no hot tub after 8pm seemed a bit restrictive, but family owned and operated business run very European style. "Continental breakfast" not European style at all and limited to cold cereal, packaged muffins and coffee starting at 8am. Fine with me, that's all I need, but if you need a bigger breakfast, plan on going out to a restaurant. Likewise, if you need coffee before the office opens at 8AM, request a coffee pot when you register and one will be provided along with coffee.
