During our stay at Treetop Cottages in Eureka Springs we took a lovely drive & stumbled across Thrncrown Chapel. We were delighted to find this beautiful chapel nestled in the woods. We look forward to visiting it again.

“Wonderful Architecture”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2014

Thorncrown Chapel was designed by Architect Faye Jones who was an understudy of Frank Lloyd Wright. The Chapel has all of the appeal of a Wright/Jones design. Very open and airy, lots of glass and exposed vaulted beams in a woodland setting.

This was a beautiful church in the middle of the woods. A short hike to this steel and glass spiritual space.

“Thorncrown Chapel - A Natural Beauty”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2014

This is a MUST SEE place while visiting Eureka Springs. Located just west of the city limits on Highway 62, there is no admission fee for this place, but you should donate at least $1.00 per person, to insure that other generations will get to enjoy and appreciate this treasure also. This is THE building that made E. Fay Jones, the architect, so famous. The chapel won 1st place in the Design of the Year Award by the AIA in 1981 when it opened, then 1st place in Design of the Decade in 1998, then 4th place in the Design of the Century competition, by the AIA. So, this is literally a "world famous building."
