This hotel was absolutely fabulous! Emmanuel is so nice and Eric too! We did not meet Dominic, but we heard that he is just as warm, nice, and inviting as the other two. Our stay was wonderful and we wish that we could have stayed even longer. We loved Vick!!! Everything about this hotel is wonderful. It is definitely on my list of recomendations. You will really enjoy your stay here and you will feel part of the Chateau family. I know I did!

Wonderful place with a warm welcome, in a short distance of every place in Loira Valley. Owners are helpful and provide all touristic information you will need. Cosy and well kept rooms with a lot of details (books, magasins, music, coffee, etc).

My wife and I spent a very special New Year at the Chateau des Ormeaux with 16 other friends from England. All of the rooms were of the very highest standard and we were made to feel very welcome by the owners Domonic, Eric and Emmanuel.
Because of the difficulty in booking restaurants locally over the New Year holiday they agreed to provide most of our meals over the three day stay. We were not dissapointed, from the light supper provided on the evening of our arrival to the 6 course banquet on New Years Eve, the food and the wine served with it was exceptional and exceeded all of our expectations ( we had only had breakfast on our previous visit to the Chateau).
The owners could not do enough for us and for three days and three nights we could dream that the Chateau was our own.

This hotel was a magical part of our trip. My boyfriend and I stayed for two nights while visiting the chateaux of the Loire valley.

Emmanuel and Eric, the proprietors, were very friendly and went above and beyond to be helpful - booking restaurants and even sharing a glass of wine in the evenings. The entire chateau is immaculate and in pristine condition, right down to the centuries-old tower that runs to the upper floors and the beautifully restored paneling in our bedroom. The meticulous detail given to our room's decor made me feel like I'd stepped into a book. Additionally, everything was spotless and our bathroom was enormous (the size of our bedroom again). The photos on their website of the rooms (360 degree views) are spot-on but hardly do the entire place justice. Having free internet was another plus. Breakfast in the morning was the icing on the cake - a fantastic spread of croissants & bread served with a variety of delicious & unusual jams and preserves made on the premises, fresh and dried fruits, cereals, yogurt, etc.

The chateau is ideally located as a base to explore the nearby chateaux. It is minutes to Amboise and not far at all from Blois & Tours. I would unreservedly recommend this to anyone traveling in the Loire.
