“Great ski hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2013

Loved staying here because of close proximity to the slopes. It was a difficult walk back up the hill to the hotel on the first afternoon, following a full days skiing - probably due to the altitude. However it was easier every day. Rooms had everything that was needed. Not luxurious but functional and very clean. Great hot shower and bath - essential. Comfy beds and pillows.
Great meeting area and bar area for chatting and games.
Would I stay here again - yes, most definitely.

Room Tip: We had a room to the back of the hotel near the disabled entrance - very handy, rather than having t...

Pros:

Not ski in like a few in resort but close to slopes.
Very clean & good staff

Cons:
You can get by for a week with the food, it's not terrible but it's not good & dinners a ten minute canteen affair. No starters, bad deserts.
Terribly uncomfortable beds.
Most rooms face walls & I felt I lived in a cave for a week.

Basically, No frills but clean & functional for a ski trip.

The hotel is very nice, the relation beetwen quality and price is perfect. All the staff is very friendly and it makes you feel like at home. It's very close to the ski resort, about 500 m. It has jacuzzi and sauna, that's perfect after a long day of skiing.

This hotel is one of the best I have stayed. The rooms are nice and spacious but most important, the staff! All the employees, from the front desk to the restaurant were always ready to help you. I would change gladly one hotel of five stars for this one with wonderful staff, wonderful environment and great location (3 minutes from the ski tracks).

Stayed at Magic Pas with Neilson Ski holidays.

Room was ok, with comfortable beds. Only letdowns were: no window, just two skylights; no tea/coffee facilities; no double bed, two single beds pushed together. Bathroom was lovely, well-maintained and clean, and we were never short of hot water.

The jakuzi wasn't very big (holds four) and is indoors but did the job of a hot tub after skiing.

Access to the slopes very good. As others have said it's best to use the heated lockers at slopes for 20€, and walk the short distance in your own shoes from the 5th floor exit. You get drinks vouchers each day so it works out as good value. You can put your boots on in the Pas83 ski shop so no wet socks :-)

We loved the food and the friendly staff. It's buffet, but there's a great variety and always a fresh cooked option. Don't expect meat and two veg, you'll be disappointed!

We had a hearty breakfast of cereal, omelette, cooked meats and cheeses, croissants, coffee, fruit juice etc that kept us going skiing all day.

The evening meal had a fantastic range of salads, fish, pasta, and a variety of stews, soup, cooked meat and veg mainly Mediterranean style.

We enjoyed our week there and recommend it.

Stayed 1 wk jan 20th for ski trip with my wife and another couple. Perfect location in pas de casa. 5 min walk to slopes. Rooms good quality by ski standards, well heated and clean. Half board with good standard of food and varied options. Staff extremely helpful and prompt at mealtime. Overall a wonderful stay and highly recommend for your next ski trip!!

Lovely hotel, certainly the nicest we have stayed in on skiing trips.
Very clean & well maintained throughout. All staff we dealt with were friendly & helpful. Room was lovely, very warm however. Although temperatures outside were below zero we still had to open the bedroom window frequently.
We made use of the jacuzzi and sauna which were lovely. Breakfast and dinner were buffet style with lots of choice and variety. Some odd options occasionally (peas for breakfast?) but on the whole the standard of food was great.
Nice bar area which was great for relaxing in the evenings. 5 minute walk to the slopes.
Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!
