“Sweet hot geothermal water”

The hot springs are therputic and relaxing. I like the setting in the mountains high above it all. This is a true Shangrila.

“Liked it, something unique.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2013

We stayed here for one night. You can hike a little and get soaked in the hot springs of course. Rooms are nice get a bath you can fill with hot spring water. Fireplace, wood is to wet to keep going all night. Restaurant is ok.

If you want to do something relaxing this is it. Price is just a bit to high and the place seems not a 100% finished.

“Great getaway”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 24, 2013

This is a great oasis from the often chilly temperatures of this area of Guatemala. Fed by thermal springs and run by friendly staff, everyone is thrilled to be here. The surroundings are lovely, the amenities plentiful and you can enjoy Guatemalan families really enjoying a day out. There are plenty of places to cook food (including the cooking facilities intended for the bungalows no one stays in) or you can have a pleasant although uninspired meal served by great staff in the restaurant overlooking the springs.

The trip up to the springs is gorgeous, breath-taking, all-you-readabout in your books and more. If you are truly fortunate, you’ll get your three minutes of a clear view of a gorgeous peak I cannot find the name of. Near the baños to the right from the parking lot is a charming trail to two more lovely hot spring pools flanked by a lovely little waterfall, with another trail branching off to a small Mayan worship site/cave. Recommended if you are in the area and this area is, definitely, worth visiting.

*** Tip: try to go on a weekday and go in the morning to avoid crowds.

“Worth the trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 14, 2013

We were staying in Xela. Took the chicken bus to Zunil on Monday--great indoor market, balcony around the perimeter so we got some amazing pictures. From there we hired a pickup to take us to Fuentes Georginas for 100Q. Our very careful driver Jose (you will definitely want someone to go slowly) agreed to take us, and wait 2 hours for us. This is an easy thing to manage, and a nice day trip from Xela.
