It's located in Lalitpur Sub-Metropolitan City, not in Kathmandu, strictly speaking. It is close to the Patan Durbar Square, a World Heritage Site. It's very atomospheric, worthwhile spending a day. The hotel room is very simple. During my stay, there was electiricity only around ten hours a day. The hotel has a generator, but it minimises its usage to save costs, I should think. So sometimes at around 11 pm, the light went off suddenly without prior warning. Breakfast is included in the room rate, but again very basic. It seemed that the hotel was well known by tax drivers, so it was easy to get back from central Kathmandu. In the neighbourhood, there are numerous restaurants and cafes. The hotel restaurant is not bad at all, but I explored several restaurants in the area; Nepalese, Indian, international, even Japanese. The staff were generally kind and helpful. My only complain was that towels provided in the room were always dirty. I mean they were washed but they had been darkened for some unknown reason. Next time I stay there, I will take my own towels!
