I usually stay at Country Inns & Suites because I can generally expect a pleasant stay -- there have been exceptions, but they have been very few. However, the Country Inns & Suites in Conway, Arkansas was a most pleasant surprise. While the desk clerks at check in seemed a little harried (a wedding party was checking in, among other 5-ish arrivals), the room was clean and fresh-smelling, the bathroom spotless. My favorite experience was the quiet! I am a light sleeper, and I slept like a baby. The wireless connection worked flawlessly, and breakfast was enjoyable. Oh, there were some mysterious 'scrambled egg' patty-things, and the ubiquitous slimy hard boiled eggs. But there was a selection of breads for toasting, a variety of cereal, yogurt, and all one would expect -- including the waffle-thingy. There was a free local (NOT the vacuous USA Today, but the local paper) and all one expects from a Country Inns & Suites. This hotel may not be located in Little Rock, but it's worth the 30-40 minute drive (be warned: there is construction, and rush hour is deceptively horrible) to stay in Conway (and take in Stoby's and Toad Suck Park and some of the other fine restaurants and cafes) and do your business in Little Rock. Oh yes, my room had a refrigerator AND a microwave, plus complimentary bottles of water.
