Stayed here on the way from East Coast to Texas. Not good. This is an old hotel that's been redone, it is not new. The smell in the place is overwhelming of smoke (spread had burn holes in it) and although clean, we felt it was not due to odor. Spa is out of order, grass in knee high on "grounds." This was a huge disappointment for a Baymont. Won't return to that one and will check rooms first before checking in to a Baymont again. Check in lady was really, really nice. Watch dining in this town - stay clear of Chinese Buffet - walked out and went to a local dive!

Pros:
We got a pretty good rate. Check out lady was nice. Had an indoor pool and breakfast with waffle iron. Room was clean and on the ground floor. Hotel with interior corridors. Frig/Micro and nice size TV. Felt safe to stay there. Convenient to the interstate. We did not hear the highway noise.

Cons:
Small pool area had 6 chairs and 1 was being used to help block off the whirlpool being repaired. Check in lady not friendly and gave that "could care less" attitude. Breakfast had waffles but very limited on other choices. There was cereal, blueberry muffins and bagels but no fruit. Coffee but no juice available (dispenser was empty and we got there 15 min after breakfast began).

Attractive property with spacious and clean rooms. The front desk was very friendly and helpful. Our king room included a microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker. The continental breakfast was the usual with waffles and the customary cereals, pastries, etc.

We paid $60 for a nice, clean double room! Hotel ahd swimming pool and reception staff were very helpful. Just off the interstate.
