I'm not a light sleeper, but still I couldn't sleep well with the noice outside my room of people walking by and chit-chatting. I've lost 50% of my hearing on my left ear, therefore I tried sleeping on my right side to hopefully tune down the noise. STILL I could hear people knocking on doors after midnight.

The hotel has no signs or something to remind visitors to be courteous at night.

The lake is VERY beautiful and peaceful. Therefore I would recommend visitors to take a room somewhere else, and drive to the lake. It's cheaper, and you can sleep well at night.

Wow, this place is beautiful! There is alot to do there and in the surrounding area. The hotel was so clean. Our room was small but spotless. We did have a lake view. The staff is super friendly. A great family get away! Do not hesitate to stay there! Happy Travels!

Friends said, "let's go to Arkansas for a week'. I thought they were kidding, "Arkansas for a week!!"
We did Hot Springs (2 nights) and Petet Jean State Park (1 night) and 2 nights at the DeGray Resort. We enjoyed all our stops but could have stayed at DeGray Lake a whole week. A newer facility designed as a conference center has a lot going for it, not the least of which is the staff. Birds galore (scissor tail fly catchers, pilliated woodpeckers) -- and I'm not a birder! Rent a bike,rent a kayak or boat and enjoy the beauty of the park and the lake. Food good and very reasonably priced. We (4 active seniors) were there in early May and had the park to ourselves. Next time we will bring our golf clubs, the course looked fine and it was very reasonably priced.
Arkansas for a week?? Yes!!!

The lodge was very clean and quiet with a beautiful view of the lake. The grounds were well kept with lots of picture taking opportunities. The restaurant had good food. The rooms are not fancy but comfortable. The only complaint that I have is that the tv had a lot of static and the cable service was not the best. However, I would definitely stay at this lodge again.
