Central location in Yuma. Front desk very nice, and helpful. Motel has library of 200+ DVD's you can borrow.

Breakfast was average- located in restaurant next to motel.

Room was clean, but worn. Moderate traffic noise.

My husband and I stayed one night at the Best Western Coronado (April 3, 2005). We stayed across the street from the main motel building. The first thing we noticed was how small the room was. There wasn't much space to walk around the king-sized bed. We appreciated the large mini-refrigerator and microwave in the room. The bed was comfortable, the shower had good water pressure, and we certainly got good value for the price we paid ($62.55 through bestwestern). The included hot breakfast at the adjacent cafe was a great way to start the next day. On the negative side, however, the room looked somewhat run-down. The bathroom was poorly lit and had little counter space. The shower head was low even for me, and I am 5 feet 5 inches tall. The towels were thin and scratchy. There was some mold on the bathroom ceiling. Bottom line: We might stay there again if it's only for one night and we're on a tight budget.

I stayed at this hotel for one night in January 2005 while returning from a business trip to San Diego, California. The hotel is located on one of the main roads through Yuma near both the downtown area and the riverfront. While the nearby road is very busy, the hotel itself remains relatively quiet. A hispanic supermarket and some restaurants are within easy walking distance, and most of the rest of Yuma is easily accessible. Moreover, the highway is a short drive away. Safety seems like only a minor concern.

The hotel room itself was quaint yet very nice. I was in a small room with a king-sized bed on a second floor. The bed was very comfortable, and most of the furniture looked new. The TV also had a VCR for which the lobby gave out videotapes. The bathrooms were very spacious, although the refrigerator and microwave in the bathroom seemed very strange. The room had both a free wireless network and a free ethernet connection (with an ethernet cable), so I was able to surf the web while staying in the room (until the network mysteriously went down at 8:00 pm). The service at the front desk was friendly and good (if not a little overwhelmed when I arrived). Perhaps because of renovations to the hotel lobby, the free breakfast consisted of a coupon for a substantial hot meal at the restaurant next door, which was very delicious. The price for the hotel room was comperable to or slightly higher than what budget hotels in Yuma were offering that weekend, but the other perks made this hotel a good choice.

I would recommend this hotel for anyone passing through Yuma who is looking for either budget or mid-grade accomodations as well as for people who want to stay near the downtown area.

Stayed there just overnight (only about eight hours total) on a drive from San Diego to Scottsdale. Stayed at the same property last year on same drive.

I have no idea where they get that photo from on their web site, but the property doesn't look anything like that. The entire place is actually two lots located across the street, diagonally from each other.

I had a room across the street from the lobby this time. The room was perfectly adequate, although my biggest complaint with the budget chains is the poor quality of their pillows, and this room was no exception. Everything was clean and looked to be in working order. They do have high-speed Internet access in the room now, but since I arrived so late, I was much more interested in sleeping than in checking my email so I did not have a chance to try it out.

I checked out first thing and grabbed the free breakfast next door. Again, nothing special but perfectly acceptable. It's in a sit down restaurant, not connected to the hotel, so you get wait service versus a buffet.

As I mentioned in the heading, they were renovating the reception area, but this doesn't really affect your stay at all, IMO.
