More often than not, it is getting harder and harder to find homemade Mexican Food in a comfortable setting > Places are either chains or are 'too gringo' .. ..
Being from LA, Chile Pepper is deserving of their 'homemade' reputation .. ..
A large and comfortable dining room - Great BURRITOS and CARNE ASADA - and REFRIED BEANS that you remember from childhood .. ..
You just cannot go to Yuma and not try Chile Pepper (or one of their other restaurants Mr. G's or La Casa Gutierrez)- all owned by the same family. After living there for almost 18 years, each time I return, I have to stop in, even take some back home with me and freeze the burritos!
Bad service, but the food is great!
Chile Pepper is one of the better Mexican places my husband and I have eaten at. We moved to Yuma about 2 months ago and this is one of our favorite places! They have great, fast service and their food is always good!
This is perhaps the best fast-food Mexican-food place ever. The food "tastes" amazing. I've been going here for over 25 years, as have my family, and many, many more Yuma natives. The food has been getting more and more expensive, but the quality has not changed. Definitely better than fast food like Taco Bell or Del Taco. Its a must-have!
