“What a Collection!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 12, 2013

We drove the 10 miles of unpaved road in my little sedan to get to Castle Dome. What a neat ghost town! There are two sections of Castle Dome, one being the ghost town, the other being the mining district. Now I know the buildings of the ghost town are not set up in their original location --rather crammed together in what the owners thought the town would be set up as, but the amount of artifacts in each building is AMAZING. Thousands and thousands of period artifacts, with 70% of them originally found in Castle Dome. The mining district is a 3 mile loop which takes you to several of the mines, buildings and grave sites. We thought the $10/person fee was reasonable. If you love ghost towns, this place is worth the visit to see all the items that were salvaged when the town was abandoned!

It costs 10$. But 100% worth it. Super.
.........
It is very authentic. The ride in is a little bumpy but no problem.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2013

About 40 miles north of Yuma 10 miles out on a dirt road but worth the trip is a nice ghost town and mine. Spent most of one day there enjoyed the buildings and its an easy walk. If you have a chance or time to kill well worth the visist

“Walking back in time.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 11, 2013 via mobile

A perfect shot of the history and cross section of an old mining town. Plenty of information and stories given through out the self guided tour. One of the few places that still trust people not to remove or touch items. Well worth the drive and your fee. A must see if you are in the area!!!

“Out of the Way but worth it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2013

Always enjoy the drive up Highway 95 to this Museum. You will have about 7 miles of gravel road to get to it but it is worth it once you get there. A whole little Ghost Town villeage for you to explore!
