Modest yet comfortable bedroom & living room (with small fridge, microwave, coffee maker, & most importantly, working air conditioning). Hearty breakfasts (same each day) with some healthy choices & free evening drinks with some food (pizza, hamburgers, and such). Working laundry facilities & exercise room.
Nothing fancy -- purely functional -- but well worth traveling off the beaten path of typical, tried & true, large-chain hotels to have a taste of desert beauty in LF's unique courtyard.
Walk to breakfast each morning through the serene, beautifully cared for grounds -- palms, lemon trees, desert plants, & fountains. Walking on the 2nd floor, spot birds in their nests tucked in tree branches.
Yuma's natural beauty is one step from your room. A relaxing/ comfortable short- or long-term stay.
How hot is it in the summer? 105+ degrees (F); 40 + degree (C). (Open hot oven door & stand there for as long as you can.) Dry heat -- cooks you from outside in.
(If your out adventuring, ensure you've enough water; drink *before* becoming thirsty. Slather on sunscreen & wear brimmed hat/cap with neck flap. You may end up dashing in an out of your air-conditioned car, as your skin flushes from heat.)
If you're lounging about the hotel, under the shade of an umbrella (by pool), it can be relaxing siesta time. Early morning & mid-evening are cooler times to move about outside & get things done.
(You may occasionally see felines meandering about. It's tempting to give them a pet & a treat. They add to ambience of LF -- particularly if you've a heart for animals. Hope to always see them.)
Approx. 25 miles northward is Imperial Reservoir, which has stunning blue/green colored water. It's a remarkably beautiful color that you *must* see. (Words can't describe it; you must experience it yourself.)
Target & other shops/eateries are well within a mile of LF, you can walk to them (provided you can tolerate the heat). Albertson's & Walmart are a few miles away (& best attempted by car).
Once you experience La Fuente, you'll look forward to returning.
