Fun place to vist. Good displays and lots of history. Not a place to go during the heat of Summer, but should be good the rest of the year.

“The Quartermaster's Park”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 22, 2014

Now called, the Quartermaster's Park, this facility took us back to the late 1800s and provided and excellent experience. You toured the quartermaster's house, the warehouse and other facilities on a well kept landscape. The Yuma visitor's bureau is also located on the grounds.

“Quartermaster - a step back in time”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 13, 2014

I am generally not interested in history. However when a park is laid out in a casual no pressure walk and look around at your leisure kinda way, it can be fun. interesting to see what was going on in this little corner of desert so long ago. Of particular interest to me was the diving suit they used to build the pipe below the Colorado. It was made in China or at least it had a tag on it with characters that I did not recognize. Anyway a nice place to spend an afternoon.

“It's now called the Yuma Quartermaster Depot State Historic Park”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2014

The Convention and Visitor's center is located here and there is a little cafe with great pie and ice cream. Other than that it's got some interesting things to see, but they could have and should do a lot more with this area.

“Very pleasant and interesting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 28, 2014

They had a farmer's market on Sunday, plus a Civil War reenactment. The South had four cannons and soldiers, the North had three cannons, a gatling gun and soldiers. They were very proficient. We had excelent Indian fry bread at the farmer's market. We really enjoyed the other exhibits. It was a great stop on our visit.
