“Yuma Crossing Historic Park”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

We took our daughters there for Halloween night and the enactors were absolutely fantastic. They were dressed in costumes from the early 1700's and recited the poem of Sam McGee, told fortunes using candles, bobbed for apples, and just made the experience a fun and exciting one.
It's been a while since we did that so I am not sure if the park still holds that event.

“Lots of historical information”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2013

If you are visiting Yuma, then this is an attraction in the north of town close to the Territorial Prison and Gateway Park.

There is a lot of historial information and many exhibits about the history of the Yuma area, the army and development of the town. If you have an interest in history, this is very much worth visiting.

“Step and imagine”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 12, 2013

Had a great time at the Quartermaster Depot. Trying to imagine how life was here at the turn of the century when temperatures pass the 110 degree mark. History brought back!!! I wish that more could be added to the exhibit since Yuma has so much history to share!!! As an overall experience I did enjoy learning tips and bits of Yuma!!! There is also a great little restaurant that takes the apperance of the Harvey Girls!,,, greattttttttt! I think they stop their service for the Summer, what a shame! Stop and try to imagine!!!!!

“Historical Buildings”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2013

This is VERY easy to get to and worth the time if you're exploring Yuma. Here the Quartermaster Depot has original adobe buildings and some have the original furnishings. The park is quite nice ... and there is an special exhibit on Alcatraz. It's worht your time - and the $4 entry fee isn't too bad (get a Yuma Historic Riverfront brochure from your hotel and save a buck on admission!). They have an old fashioned pie and ice cream shoppe - we didn't try it, but the pies did look good.
