The hotel manager has zero public relations skills, nor does it appear that he wants any. He is all about instructing, or should I say ordering, hotel guests around. He acts as if he is doing you a favor by allowing you to stay in his hotel, which, by the way, is nothing like what you see on the website. None of the pictures give accurate depictions of the condition of this place. It is nowhere near as clean and modern as they show it to be. My experience in Winslow closely compares to another stay at a Days Inn in Austin, TX. It, too, was run by a manager of the same nationality: India, I would guess. Both places were run down, poorly maintained, and left much to be desired in the way of cleanliness. I was so offended by the manager's attitude that I reported it to Days Inn corporate office. Their response will determine whether or not I ever stay at another one of their hotels. There are other hotels in Winslow. I would strongly advise travelers to aviod this Days Inn.

This has got to be the worst hotel experience I've ever had AND the VERY WORST hotel manager I've ever encountered. I am a single mom and was traveling with my 2 children and our dog from North Carolina to Las Vegas. On the day I arrived at this Days Inn, 8/22/07, I was really ready to relax and call it a day. I had driven over 500 miles and was tired. The front desk clerk was in the process of checking me in when the manager, Vijay, began asking me questions about my dog and if he barked. I told him my dog was well behaved and did not bark. Vijay then became sacastic with me, telling me that all people tell him their pets and children are well-behaved even when they are not. I assured him there was no problem with my dog or my children. (In fact, my daughter was standing right there beside me and didn't say a word the whole time!) Just as the desk clerk was about to take my credit card, Vijay said, "I think you hesitate to answer me. You go stay at the Motel 6." I thought he HAD to be kidding me, but he was serious. He absolutely refused to rent me a room. Keep in mind this Days Inn ACCEPTS pets and advertises "no restriction on pet size or number of pets in room." It was obvious the guy was enjoying his little power trip and sacastically told me to have a nice day as I left. This man is arrogant and rude and easily the nastiest person I've ever encountered at ANY hotel/motel.
I went down the street to the Super 8 and got a room there...oh yeah, and it was CHEAPER there!

I honestly cannot believe that Days Inn would allow this guy to go unchecked. I have always stayed at Days Inn's and have been quite satisfied, but this man would make most people never want to stay at a Days Inn again.

It's Arizona, so it's going to be HOT in the summer...but we pulled into the small town of Winslow and the Days Inn is right off the exit. We were greeted by a friendly staff and they met our accommadations. It was nice to see that customer service still has value. My kids especially enjoyed the pool since we had been driving all day. It was a great place to relax for the value!!!

I stayed at the Days Inn at Winslow, AZ on my way home this week. It was easily the worst hotel I've ever stayed at.

My wife, our dog, and myself checked into the hotel and were given a "pet-friendly" room. Immediately, we found fleas in the bedding and on the floor. We complained, and the clerk set us up in another room.

The other room was dirty as well. The two chairs in the room were heavily worn and stained. Moreover, even though the hotel advertised free wireless internet I was unable to connect to it (even when I walked my laptop down to the lobby). This was incredibly disappointing, as the free wifi was one of the main reasons we chose the hotel in the first place.

The worst part of our stay came in the morning. We had gone to bed quickly, without really checking over the sheets. What a mistake. We happened to glance at the inside of the comforter in the morning, as we were getting out of bed. What we saw was disgusting. The comforter had a couple blood stains, and a very obvious pee stain on it.

I took the pee-stained comforter down to the front desk to demand a refund. The employee on duty, James, refused to refund our money and told me he was only authorized to give us $10 off our stay because we should have noticed the pee stains before going to sleep. Throughout the exchange, he treated me like a child.

Fed up, I asked him for the corporate number. Instead, he gave me the hotel's number. I found the corporate number (1-800-Days Inn) and filed a complaint. I haven't heard anything yet. Nor have I received a refund.

Basically, I paid $73 to sleep in a pee stained, flea infested roach motel. DON'T STAY THERE.

On another note: the location of the hotel was horrible; it's situated between an empty lot, a trailer park, and an abandoned gas station. There aren't any restaurants within walking distance.
