“A 66 stop”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2014

You're on the road, you have to stop sometime. THIS is it. Wonderful restored hotel with rich history. I believe they are planning a rail journey and hotel package which could be fun. The meal was enhanced by the location and decor. Such a good memory.

“Boar, Bison and Quail Oh My!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2014

After checking in at the La Posada Hotel we longed for a good meal and glass of wine. We weren't disappointed with the Turquoise Room. It once served diners who alighted from the trains and were served by Harvey House staff. My niece and I shared a crisp Caesar Salad with a large-wedged homemade tortilla chip. We split a "Wild-Wild Platter ($5.00split charge but worth it) of a White-Tail Deer Medallion, Quail and a corn tamale covered with diced Bison, Wild Boar and Venison. Very unique and delicious. We liked that the chef used regional ingredients that are a tribute to native people of America. A lovely dinner in a historic setting which is what we were looking for.

“Top notch chef!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2014

The menu was very creative and the dishes beautifully presented. The service was friendly and accomodating. The young chef we met was a wonderful asset for such a lovely place.

“Advisable to book - very popular - not sure why”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2014

Recommended by the Best Western Hotel. We hadn't booked so were told it would be a 20 minute wait so we had very nice drinks in the bar. We had clearly been forgotten by the front desk and had to remind them after 40 minutes (the bar staff were great in helping us). The food itself was good but nothing special. The hotel is itself a little pretentious and clearly believes it's own hype (similarly the restaurant). It felt a bit like being in a school canteen with table after table lined up - a bit too open plan for me. Perhaps we were there on an off day. Vegetable dinner was good and varied.

“Interesting menu”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2014

I had the vegetable dinner, it had quite a variety of things and was more that one could finish. Loved the hot pepper stuffed with cheese.
My friend had the Cesar Salad and it was heavy on the garlic!
