“Great Restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2013

This is a wonderful restaurant. We've had three dinners and three breakfasts here and they've all been excellent. The vegetarian dinner entree is the best I've ever had. The wine list has been carefully chosen to match the rest of the menu. Appetizers, soups, salads and desserts are up to the quality of the main courses. The signature chocolate souffle is especially delicious.

Service is friendly and professional. If you want to eat quickly, they'll happily accommodate you, but if you prefer a more leisurely meal, they never rush.

This is not a cheap restaurant, but prices are very fair for the quality of what you get.

“Terrible experience”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2013 via mobile

Second trip to stay and eat. The first time it was wonderful. This time was a huge disappointment. Food was average at best and the service was poor. We were the last eating and the staff started clearing the tables away AND got the vacuum out! Talk about being pushed out. To top it all off was stitched up with a $30 'tip' on the bill. Will go back and stay at the hotel again but will NEVER eat there again! Be warned! Would expect much better when paying $200 for 3 people!

“Repeat Visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2013

One of the most pleasant experiences at the Turquoise Room is the way they demonstrate how to maintain a high level of quality in both the meals and service. We used to "blow right by Winslow" along with many other travelers. Now that we have experienced the consistent high quality (in both the Turquoise Room and La Posada Hotel) we have made it an intentional stop on our travels throughout the Southwest. Kudos to chef/owner John Sharpe. During our recent visit we had the Bison Osso Buco and it was outstanding. Our "stay over" for breakfast is made especially memorable when we have the Arizona Eggs before heading out on the road again. We look forward to our next visit.

“A Classic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2013

Since my husband is a railroad fan, we wanted to eat in a classic Fred Harvey restaurant, and the Turquoise Room did not disappoint. A unique menu, terrific service, and food that lived up to our expectations. A highlight of our vacation.

“A delightful and tasty oasis in Arizona”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2013

The historical dining room located in La Posasa Hotel has been rated as the #2 top hotel restaurant just a while back. The chef John Sharpe is one that takes some risks and makes sure that the ingredients are very fresh and local . The service was friendly and knowledgeable and a couple smalll things were quickly corrected and made better. We dined on some of the local specialties like the wild game dish which combined local elk tips, with special homemade tamales.
The cookbook the chef has published is one that cookbook efficianados will love with it's great photos and recipes. Believe me when I say there are no real choices in much of Winslow for fine dining. This is one that stands out and is worth the prices (which are fair).
