I was traveling through but was forced to get a room in Williams due to the I-40 being shut down for bad weather. Overall, the hotel is in very good condition, lots of parking, the staff are very courteous and friendly, the breakfast area is very large and spacious with plenty of seating and friendly guests that are glad to converse. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, very clean and some have large, flat screen TV's. However, channel selection is extremely limited. Only a few to choose from. Internet is free though. My only complaint is that the doors SLAM shut so hard that the walls actually shake, and this caused my family to be repeatedly awakened at night when guests in nearby rooms opened and closed their doors.
The doors slam SO hard that when I first checked into my room, I was astonished at how hard and loud the door slammed, causing the walls to shake. I immediately informed the front desk that I wanted a room at the far end of the building, away from other guests because there was no way I was going to be able to sleep with doors that slam shut that hard. They gladly accommodated me, but by that evening, all the other rooms were occupied and doors were slamming hard, waking my family. I called the front desk and angrily made clear that I was unable to sleep due to the severity of the door slamming. I informed her it was NOT the guests' fault, but was in fact the fault of the hotel since they adjusted all the doors to slam shut so hard that the walls shake. She apologized but that doesn't fix the problem. All the management has to do is to simply make a small adjustment on the hydraulic opener at the top of the door to cause it to close slowly and quietly. For some unknown reason, they have adjusted all of them to SLAM shut and vibrate the walls, preventing people from sleeping.
Everything else was good, no complaints. I think the price is high, given the area, but the overall quality of the hotel is very good. The only way I would stay here again is if they adjusted their doors to close more gently so I could sleep at night. That IS the point of a hotel, is to sleep, right? If the hotel fails on that one fundamental, then nothing else they do matters at all.
