The first thing I would say about this motel is its low price. We paid $57 dollars including tax for a double room. The room was clean and comfortable. We felt like the owner (Maureen- very helpful) really cared about her guests and made an effort to make them feel welcome. TV, a/c (although not needed, as it was rather cool), coffee maker, fridge and microwave oven available. Walking distance to Williams town centre. Great stay. Would stay here again with pleasure, as the motel is situated right opposite a forest, so you can let your lungs fill up with true fresh air smelling of pines!

We stayed here on our Route 66 honeymoon in 2002. Of the 9 motels we stayed at on that trip, this stands out as the cleanest and best value.

Our stay here was pleasant. I liked the atmosphere of an older style motel. No frills and the value was good. Nothing dramatic stood out for me, but we only stayed one night on our from LA to Indiana. I would recommend it as a comfortable, affordable place to stay.

A few winters ago, I reserved a stay at El Rancho (who could pass up a name like that!) and made it my base of operation for four days of travels around north-central AZ. Was unexpectedly snowed in longer than expected, and found the owners to be friendly, kind, and most accomodating. Rooms are basic and most adequate, and were barely $30 per night (off-season). A fine bargain, and a memorable place to stay. Pool too, but of no use in February, naturally. Five stars based on the outstanding value.

Williams is also fondly remembered for its quiet, mountain locale and for the scent of pinon pine smoke and cumin in the winter air.

“A MUST stay for Grand Canyon travellers”

GREAT VALUE at $30! This locally owned Motel gives better service and value than the large chain locations located early on the Motel strip. The room was clean, spacious, and was equipped with free wireless internet. I wouldn’t suggest moving any closer to the Grand Canyon if you are looking for affordable lodging; it only gets more expensive past Williams. You should reward the loyalty and hard work of the owners for their efforts in running such a successful and admirable local establishment. This location definitely deserves your business.
