“Good value”

El Rancho Motel

Oct 21, 2007

Our stay at El Rancho was quite pleasant. If you are expecting anything fancy, of course you will be disappointed, but for the money this is a fine place to stay. A few things we liked- the lady at the desk was very helpful in booking our Grand Canyon railway trip ahead of time with everything in order when we arrived. The carpet and drapes in the rooms are a little dull but the rooms themselves were very clean, and beds comfortable enough. One other nice convenience was the laundromat right next door operated by the gas station. It was quite clean and everyone friendly. And if you didn't bring detergent or dryer sheets, don't worry, they'e offered for very reasonable prices. On the negative side, there is no continental breakfast but good eating places abound within walking distance in Williams. Also, we had the room above the office which was extra spacious and bright, but the room where my parents stayed was a little cramped and dark, but perfectly clean and adequate. I would definitely stay at El Rancho next time we are in Williams.

great place to stay ----------very down memory lane sort of motel with a 1960's or 70's feel to it ----------our room did come with a nice surprise--a coffee pot, microwave, and small fridge---------wonderful to find in a room at this price -----------------stores and places to eat and drink with live music were close and wonderful the best thing was the lady who we assumed owned or at least mangaged it---a fountain of information about things to see or do besides the canyon--------don't miss a small old mining town named jerome
this hotel is a great base to use while exploring the area and there is much to see---when we go back will be sure to try and book our time here------CLEAN, QUIET AND REASONABLE ---------all good things when you travel

“Nice Base for Exploring Area”

Stayed at the El Rancho for four nights. Clean and comfortable with genuine hospitality and Route 66 ambience. Not fancy, but certainly reminiscent of a slower-paced, less harried time. Good value for those who do not require all the modern-day extras. Will stay there again for sure.

“Clean and Comfortable”

We stayed for 3 nights during an 18 day trip in September 2006. The motel is on the edge of the town, but you can walk to all the amenities. The receptionist (Maureen) was very welcoming and pleasant. She booked flights over the canyon and the trip on the Grand Canyon Railway for us. The rooms are a little dated, but clean and our room had a microwave and a small fridge. The price was very reasonable and we would not hesitate to stay again.

We stayed here at the end of July on a vacation through AZ. The owner is extrememly nice and friendly. Rooms were clean and comfortable but certainly no frills (although they did have a cofeemaker and microwave). The small outdoor pool was clean but very cold (heated - but very cold). Great value for the money - right at the end of the Williams main street - near restaurant and ice cream parlor.
