“Beware there is more than one Rodeway Inn!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2012

We booked by phone whilst travelling through Arizona. We booked two rooms for $85 each but when we arrived at what appeared to be a nice looking Rodeway In we were told that we were booked in for the other Rodeway Inn just up the road (opposite Rod's Steak House). This premises is much seedier looking than the other and the rooms, whilst adequate were basic and unappealing. The air conditioning in our room developed a loud noise in the middle of the night and had to be switched off.

Don't know where to start. The place was that bad. I actually went out to my car and slept sitting-up which was an improvement to sleeping in this "flea-bag" place. The older man who works there (possibly manages or owns) is lucky there are laws againest assault.

Do not consider staying here. Not even for free! I had a reservation and when I showed up the lobby smelled of moth balls. I asked to view the room and decided it was not an adequate or safe accomidation for me and my daughter. When I asked for my money back and i was told that 10 minutes passed so they would not refund our money. The money is not the issue here, I couldnt care less about getting any money back or not. My goal is to let people know this place needs to be shut down and or torn down! A respectable business owner who cares about the great business opportunity ( route 66) this could be needs to buy it and take over. Choice Hotels needs to know about this discusting hotel! Read all the other comments posted and you will see we all agree, this is a bad hotel, dont waste your money!!

Room Tip: Never go for the cheapest price! Its usually the worst place to stay and will cost you a good nights...

1 night stay was almost too much time there. The carpets were dirty and sticky. Pillow cases had small blood spots on them. Found a bug on the bed... holes in the wall, some mold on the shower... tub had a hard time draining.

Place is old, it just needs some fixing up and a better cleaning crew.

Positives... it had decent Wifi.

Room Tip: avoid until they fix the place up.

You get a dirty beds with dirty towels. Even headboard and dresser and spills on them. Contl. breakfast was in laundry room with no tables or chairs and you could not take coffee or juice etc to your room.

Gross! Had reservation. Asked to see room... was told it wouldn't be clean for awhile. It was run down, filthy, dump! Found dead bug under edge of bed. Shower wall cracked. Moldy. Anything else would be better. This place needs to be torn down!

Run down and poorly maintained. Dirty rooms. Broken ice machine. Torn bedspread. Manager walks around in the morning peeking in room windows to see if the room has been vacated.
We made the mistake of staying here in order to be closer for our visit to the Grand Canyon.
This stay was done through Choice Hotels to get additional points. Apparently this motel does not report stays to Choice Hotels so I am now required to jump through hoops to prove that I stayed here.
This is definitely a "stay away from" motel.

Room Tip: For a good room go to another motel.
