We just spent two nights at this wonderful Bed and Breakfast nestled hillside just above the town of Williams, AZ. The Sheridan Inn was clean and impeccably maintained by Inn owners KC and Mary and their wonderful housekeeper Juanita.
We stayed in the Juniper Room on the 1st floor which had easy access to a wonderful walk out deck with chairs and tables for quiet reading in the morning or to enjoy a glass of wine while star gazing. Our spacious room had a queen size bed, ample closet space and a private bath.
There were a couple of other rooms on this floor and a game room with pool table and pop corn machine.
The main floor of the Inn had a common sitting area with loads of information about what to do and see while in town, a kitchen equipped with a guest refrigerator stocked with free water, soft drinks, juices etc and a walk out deck where you could enjoy your full breakfast each morning. Breakfast consisted of eggs, bacon, home fries, blueberry scones and assortment of fresh fruits and homemade salsa. On Sunday the breakfast also included a choice of eggs benedict (yum).
KC, Mary and Juanita were wonderful people, friendly and knowledgeable about the town and about travel to and the surrounding points of interest. We would highly recommend a stay at the Inn to anyone who enjoys a good bed and breakfast and to anyone looking to enjoy their first B&B experience.
The Inn also had a 9 year old dog names Roxy. She is kid friendly and has a terrific temperament. She even fetches the newspaper for KC each morning for the cost of one dog bone.
The town of Williams is in walking distance, but I'd suggest taking the car as the Inn is at the top of a steep hill. Parking is free and abundant in town. Each night there is live entertainment for all ages. Each evening there is a gun fight at 730 pm and live, outdoor music at two local favorites restaurants. We ate at both, Pancho McGuillicuddy's and Cruisers. The food was delicious and the music was great. If you like spicy chili I’d highly recommend the Chipolte Chili at Pancho's. If you like great barbecue try the pork ribs at Cruisers.
Finally if you plan to visit the Grand Canyon we’d suggest taking the Grand Canyon Railroad. What a treat. There are two trains each day which depart at 9 and 1030 each day. There are a number of classes of car so pick one that suits your budget. Prices range from $60 to $135 per person. Keep in mind that you can mix and match classes for going and returning. We took the early train up and the late train back which gave us almost 4 hours to explore the south rim of the canyon.
