“Pleasantly surprised”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

We drove from Gilbert and stayed in Williams in order to catch the Grand Canyon train the next morning. I wasn't expecting much from this motel but I was pleasantly surprised. It was well kept, clean and tidy. Our room was not overly spacious but it did have a king sized bed and flat screen tv. The continental breakfast, which was included in the price, was quite good, especially the fresh waffles. Good value for the price. Very friendly staff. I would recommend this motel to anyone looking for a place to stay in Williams. We liked it enough that rather than driving back the next night after our train ride we stayed for another night.

After a 2-day hiking trip in the Canyon, we desperately wanted a good sleep & nice bath and this unassuming inn accommodated our needs very well. The room and bathroom were very clean and the huge bed was super comfortable. We also appreciated complementary continental breakfast - the posted directions allowed us to make the perfect waffle. You can tell the owner put a lot of thought into maintaining this place and we appreciated our stay. (with that being said, a quieter bathroom and heater fan would be nice!)

Room Tip: Ask for one in the middle if you can.

We hadn't booked a night in Williams as we were unsure as to whether we would get through on the road (lots of snow). However we did, and were so pleased. The Rodeway Inn offered us a lovely 2 queen bed suite for the 5 of us. Outside the decor was quite plain, but the room inside was really lovely. The decor was really neat- we loved the choice of artwork on the walls. The room was very clean. Breakfast the next morning was across the road and it was yummy. Great place to stay.

This has got to be one of the nicer motels in Williams, AZ. This looks like it has recently been redone into a newer looking motel on the inside. Nice bedding and flat screen TVs. The rooms are small but that is to be expected with one of these older hotels. Location is great for getting to Grand Canyon and walking around downtown Williams, AZ or even taking the Grand Canyon R/R to the park. I would definitely recommend this place when staying in this old Route 66 town.

I stayed on 12-10-12 in room 115 for the Polar express. I was really impressed with Rodeway Inn&Suites Downtowner-RTE 66. It was so warm and Cozy! Pretty and clean rooms! The beds are huge and comfy, I felt very safe here! I must say that I never eat the "continental breakfest" in places I stay at but My son insistent on eating here because the front desk lady mention waffles. So we ate here and I am just impressed with the options they have to eat!! This place is right in the Middle of the town You dont even have to get in ur car u can just walk the downtown area, My 4yr old son calls this town Raditor Springs :) I cant wait to stay again next year! And the staff was just so friendly and nice!!!

The Williams strip has tons of hotels. I selected the Rodeway just to get my Comfort Inn points, but was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the hotel. The room was very well decorated. Not huge, but a very comfortable size. Breakast was in a bright, comfortable room. The staff, both at check -in and check-out, was very freidnly and helpful. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the town center and restaurants.

We just spent two nights at the Downtowner using Williams as a home base while seeing the Grand Canyon. We really loved the old school motel look of the place and the updated room and freshly painted exterior. The rooms are very clean, yes small in character with the original design, and well appointed. We did have the Continental Breakfast one morning and it was adequate for a light start to the day, but most basic. We walked to dinner both nights and were not bothered by the occasional train. Very nice. We will definitely return with friends.
