My husband and I recently had the the privilege of staying at the Grand Living Bed & Breakfast in Williams, AZ, along with our cousins who were visiting from Wisconsin. We thoroughly enjoyed the owners, Bill and Gloria Job, world travelers who are so interesting. Gloria fixed a wonderful breakfast, more food than any one person has a right to devour. Our room had a fireplace which presented a cozy romantic getaway and also had it's own private entrance. We would definitely recommend Grand Living to those who visit Williams, AZ.

This is one of the nicest Bed and Breakfast facilities we have stayed in. The room was very nicely appointed and had a lot of extra special touches such as plush robes, hairdryers, and all necessary toiletries. The rooms have fireplaces, TV's, sitting areas, etc. There is a beautiful porch around the inn where you can sit outside if desired. The breakfasts in the morning were great and just what is needed to provide you with a good start to the day. The Inn is located about 5 minutes from the train station to the grand canyon and the old Route 66. The innkeepers had information in the room about nearby attractions and things to do.

Bill & Gloria's Grand Living B&B was just perfect for our spring break in Northern AZ. We both had a wonderful time, and will definintely come again. We loved our room, very well decorated and very comfortable to stay in and most of all, so immaculate!. The gourmet breakfast exceeded our expectation, so delicious and the view from our room was simply perfect. Bill & Gloria are very hospitable.
We would definitely recommend this B&B to anyone,
This review is made up in three sections: hosts, room and meal
Hosts:
The hosts are Gloria and Bill; two very nice people who are running and own the B&B in Williams, AZ. Upon arriving I met Bill and was invited inside. Frankly, the first impressions were unremarkable; Bill's demeanour was polite (and not apologetic), discreet and to-the-point -- perfect for a B&B, especially when you need to get yourself composed in privacy. I met Gloria, later that evening, who is much more outgowing. Watching them together was certainly a pleasure. They complement each other so well and their dynamic is simply comforting and heart-warming -- I was right at home. As with any B&B experience, you should get to know your hosts a little, and Bill and Gloria have some interesting stories to share about thier lives. Additionally, they have some insights about Williams (Bill recommended the Wild West Junction for ribs and I ended up becoming part of the show they have for entertainment!) that you won't get staying at a hotel.
Room:
I stayed in the room with the Jacuzi and didn't get to look much at the other rooms. The mattress was good and comfy; maybe it was becuase I spent the last two nights sleeping in the Painted Desert, but I slept like a rock and felt refreshed the next morning. The sheets were of the quality that you just want to wrap entirely around yourself as you rest. There's furniture and extra blankets were needed; my companion and I spent most of our time in the Jacuzi and shared some wine and chocolates that were left by Bill and Gloria. The room's decor is slighty western with an oriental influence, and this influence gives the room -- and entire house -- the sort of grace that you'll find in most houses along the pacific rim. Nothing really stands out individually, unless of course this style is new to you, but there is plenty of detail to the art if you wish to stop and study anything. There's a large living room with a little fridge tucked away and stocked with water if you need it (think dry Arizona heat). There's also a wide porch, filled with chairs, that wraps around the house in case you want to watch the sun rise or set.
Breakfast:
Gloria used to teach a cooking class, in fact she is a gourmet chef. When I called to arrange reservations, she asked if my companion or I had any food allergies and if there's anything special that either of us wanted. The breakfast is exactly a gourmet meal; served in courses, delicate, and the taste ranges across your palette.
Overall, the B&B at Williams was good. I was glad that I ended up there for my stay and would go back. Also, for parents, no kids -- this B&B is oriented towards making the stay for everyone pleasant.
No kids allowed!
