When we first drove up to the hotel, we saw their sign saying "Hostel $3.50 and up." My wife and I looked at each other and we both said "UH OH!". But our fears were soon put to rest.
Inside we met Amy, and her smile and warm greting put us both at ease. She took us upstairs and let us pick our own room from the 8 themed rooms available. (We stayed in the "Romance room") We picked one with a private bath and clawfoot tub (very nice!).
Williams was busy with several events and we had a wonderful time walking around experiencing the fell of this great little town.
Back to the basics. The hotel is older, those looking for a private tv an phone, stay at motel 6. It is alot like an old bed and breakfast feel.
Anyway, we liked it and we recommed it to the adventurous traveler!!

My roommate and I were looking for a place to stay the night before our visit to the Grand Canyon. We were so excited to find something that was not the same ol' thing. When we walked in the owners greeted us very friendly immediately. We checked in and they gave us a tour of the oldest hotel in Arizona. It is very old, but the coffee tasted great, beds comfortable, and the environment nice and quiet. The only thing was that the bathrooms were soooo small, but they were clean. I will definitely stay there again. The drive to the canyon was about 45 minutes.

After driving from Las Vegas via the Hoover Dam and the new Canyon Sykwalk, I pulled into Williams and checked into this cute hotel. Although it is not the Ritz the owners were very friendly and eager to help with my bags. Room was cute and clean. After speaking with the owner, I can appreciate the history of the hotel and the efforts they have made renovating the space. I would stay here again, perfect as a crash pad after a long day of hiking.

The Grand Canyon Hotel is a renovated historic hotel build in 1889. My family stayed for two nights in two of the 25 available rooms, one had a new bath, the other connected but had a bath down the hall. We loved the unique themes of the rooms, the warmth of the owners/managers, the cleanliness and the accessibility to the Grand Canyon train and all downtown stores and events. The hotel was historic, very charming, and very affordable. The owners provided personal service and breakfast was coffee, tea, chocolate and sweet rolls. The hotel recently opened 8 more rooms decorated with antiques. It was comfortable and quiet; we did not miss televisions in the room, but they have old movies downstairs. I would highly recommend this if you like a homely, safe and comfortable place to stay in Williams.
