We chose the package deal at the Grand Canyon Railway Hotel that included two dinners and two breakfasts at Max and Thelma's. The hotel and their staff were great, but Max and Thelma's was a different story. The first night we were there, we had dinner and I have to say it was the worst food I've ever had at a buffett. The only thing that was half way decent was the salad bar.....but then how can you screw up lettuce. We didn't even use our second night dinner vouchers and went into town to eat at a different restaurant. Breakfast wasn't that bad. Typical stuff....scrambled eggs, bacon, pancakes. The service wasn't horrible but it wasn't great either. You had to flag down the server just to get an ice tea refill.
I don't recommend doing the package with the food vouchers. It's definately not worth the money.
