“Careful which pie you order”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2010

We wanted to try the pie after reading the reviews. The atmosphere was casual, but the interior was very warm (no a/c). I ordered the raspberry cream and my husband ordered the pecan. While my pie was very good, the "cream" portion was about 3 inches high and overpowered the taste of the pie. I ended up scraping off the cream and eating the base of the pie only. The pecan was loaded with nuts and was very good. I was a little disapointed in the crust. It wasn't flaky - just kind of there.

“Good Food at Reasonable Prices”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2010

Chicken dinner was very good and spaghetti was good (needed a little more zip in the sauce). Dutch apple pie a la mode was delicious. Very reasonably priced.

“Cute place, excellent service, average food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 23, 2010

We enjoyed the excellent service and the cute atmosphere. The prices were very reasonable, and the food was fine, but not great. I did notice others ordering just the pie, which had huge merengues (spelling). Next time I'll try the pie.

“Fantastic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2010

I had the Creme of Broccoli Soup. It was the BEST I have ever had....Went in for pie and coffee, but saw the soup on the blackboard and decided to have it. Then went head and ordered a piece of Coconut Creme Pie and "OMG" it was HUGE and the best ever..........I took a picture because friends wouldn't believe me. Going to try Biscuit & Gravey in the morning and sure it will be great also.

“Seemed like a good idea”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 14, 2010

This placed seemed like a homey small town kind of establishment. Lots of locals eating here, but I'm not sure why. If this is the best in town, then YIKES. It wasn't horrible, but certainly nothing to write home about either. I just can't say great things about a place that serves instant mashed potatoes.

The pie list is impressive, until you're told they are out of your top 3 choices...at 5:30 on a Saturday night. Really?? I might be more understanding if it was AFTER the dinner rush you were out of pies. And while the pie I did get (banana cream) looked great, it wasn't all that super.
