My husband, daughter and I spent the 4th of July weekend in Williams at the Grand Motel. We found the place full of Route 66 charm in a corporate world. I have stayed in nicer places, but I have definitely stayed in places that were much, much worse! It was very clean which is a HUGE requirement for me, the shower did more than just spit at you and the beds were comfortable. What more could you want? We had friends who stayed in Flagstaff in a chain hotel and they found dead bugs everywhere and somebody's hair in the beds and shower-ick. We were in room #17 with 2 rooms, each with a double bed and TV. There was also a very small room with a twin bed. Our bedroom also had small refrigerator and microwave. There was plenty of room. The buildings had all just been painted on the outside and my husband chatted with the new owner Elton, who told him of plans to continue making improvements. We will definitely go back! The price was fabulous at $78/night, and it was great way to spend a comfortable, relaxing weekend.
