We stayed at the Legacies Bed abd Breakfast for our honeymoon and had a wonderful stay! We stayed in the Legacies Suite. The room was amazing. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very spacious. The bathroom was wonderful, especially the bath tub and shower with two shower heads. Breakfast was wonderful every morning. Linda is definetely an amazing cook, we enjoyed breakfast every morning and great conversation with Linda and Ron, the owners. They had great recommendations for places to eat in Williams and offered ideas of things to do in Williams and near the Grand Canyon. Overall, we had an amazing time and enjoyed our stay at the Legacies Bed and Breakfast and would definetely go back in the future.

“Best Value”

Legacies Bed and Breakfast

Linda and Ron, as transplanted Virginians who fled the Washington D.C. rat race, have created a peaceful getaway for those of us not yet able to permanently escape! Their establishment sits out-of-sight yet conveniently near downtowm Williams, AZ, which is not only the premiere staging area for the Souhern Rim of the Grand Canyon, but also a great location for day trips to Sedona, Jerome and Flagstaff. Williams is an interesting location in itself as a through-point on historic Route 66. There is at least one very upscale restaurant ("The Red Raven") as well as several inviting looking establishments. We'd definitely repeat with Legacies on future AZ trips.

“2ND Visit to Legacies B&B”

I visited Legacies last year on a business trip and very pleased.
This month was my second visit and I returned with my lady friend. From the moment we arrived we felt like we were with friends. Linda and Ron are transplants from Maryland and had just returned from their son's wedding.

The room was clean, bed comfortable, breakfast first rate.

This B&B is not to be missed if you are any where near the Grand Canyon.

We will return!!!!!

I would not recommend this property to an experienced traveler. However, I do think that it could be fun for young newlyweds on their honeymoon night.

My goal for this trip was romantic ambiance & comfortable accommodations. So, after seeing the photos of the Legacies Suite, in the B&B's own web site, salivating over reading their breakfast recipe, and being enticed by their "last minute special" discount, I called to make my reservation with the owner.

After reading my review, you'll see that looks can be deceiving. I took these digital photos upon arrival.

First, I'll share the humorous story about breakfast. I suggest, "BYOB" (bring your own breakfast.)

Upon arrival, we were asked if we had any food allergies, which was nice, because yogurt & fruit was the entire menu for breakfast! Not good enough? Well, "How about grapefruit?", she said. We felt demanding when we asked for pancakes. Lucky for us, she threw in some scrambled eggs & two slices of bacon. We opted out of breakfast the second day.

Now, about the room....

The Legacies Suite is very spacious, with the focal point being the "over-the-top" fluffy, white & gold, four column, gorgeous, romantic bed. It is elevated, & surrounded by billowing, white chiffon draperies. Unfortunately, looks are deceiving! After a few hours of interrupted sleep (toss-turn, UGH, repeat...,) I found my husband sleeping on the floor. He said that it was more comfortable!

In the morning, I regretted not following his lead. My back felt like it had been tortured in one of those ubiquitous budget # motels. I realized that the purpose of the gorgeous, illuminated, alabaster Jacuzzi was to help alleviate some of the pain from sleeping in the bed!!!!

The packaged handsoaps & toiletries were water-stained, dusty , & appeared to have been in the basket next to the sink through several previous guests.

On the second night, we finally received two comfy bathrobes. One was not as comfy because I failed to see the straight-pin that was left attached to it. Ouch!

The painted toilet seat was almost impressive. It wasn't supposed to be decorative, but someone there had a keen eye for matching maroon enamel brush-on paint to the Kohler commode.

A laminated, particle board, portable closet is provided for guest use, because the built-in closet is locked & private.

The bedroom ceiling fan made a loud, annoying noise, & sounded like it needed new ball bearings or a motor replacement.

Touting "a view of the trees" is a bit of an exaggeration. It is more like a view of the backyard with some tree trunks, a 6' high wood fence, & the next-door neighbor's kitchen.

Legacies B & B is situated about two blocks from the local high school.

For those with special access needs, be advised that the steps to the front door are uneven, and of varying elevations. To access the Legacies Suite, there is one step down. The home is not ADA accessible.

It wasn't all bad though. The double shower was a lot of fun. They offer a complimentary travel-size tube of Tom's Natural Toothpaste. The gas-powered "woodstove" was cozy. There were good magazines on the table. The TV was big. The emergency flashlight next to the bed was a good safety idea. And the ample-sized mini-refrigerator was stocked with two bottles of water, & two cans of soda pop.

“Romantic and Friendly”

Legacies Bed and Breakfast

Ron and Linda opened their home without any hesitation. If your on your way through Williams, or just looking for a romantic getaway, check into Legacies!

The Suite was worth every penny. The lighted tub and raised bed made for a very romantic setting. There is a selection of DVD's to choose from and a small fridge with soda and water free of charge.

The fireplace had no trouble heating the room and the double shower made for a great start to the day before we headed to the Grand Canyon.

I would highly recommend Legacies and look forward to staying there again.
