We spent 2 nights here in August 2007 while touring the Grand Canyon. We had two rooms with little kids. The staff here is VERY friendly, we were very pleased. The night desk clerk, I think his name was Martin, was very harried with check-ins, and still remembered to go look for an extra rollaway for us after the rush died down. We really appreciate little things like that. This property used to be a Holiday Inn Express so it has a largish breakfast room with a microwave and small toaster in addition to the standard Motel 6 coffee. The rooms were good size and there was an indoor pool and spa which the kids loved. It was a very good value for the money, you could easily walk around town and almost next door to a Safeway store. There is another Motel 6 almost right across the street that was smaller and more typical, but this was much preferable. It sold out quickly, so make reservations in advance!. We would definitely stay here again. It was the best deal in the area. My only complaint was the water in the pool and spa was cloudy and looked like it needed to be cleaned. I thought it was a bit gross and would not use it. Our kids enjoyed it though and did not get sick. We liked this little town and preferred it to the ugly cluster of hotels right outside the Grand Canyon.
