“Delightful!”

Buffalo Pointe Lodge

May 26, 2008

We spent two nights at the Buffalo Pointe Inn while visiting the Grand Canyon, and we stayed in the Western Room. Wonderful room, yummy breakfast, great hosts Dan and Patty, and the whole atmosphere was relaxing. Williams is only a few city-blocks big, so you can stroll anywhere you want to go. In the evening we sat on the front porch of the Buffalo Pointe Inn and watched the world go by. If you want to avoid the big hotel scene and you like a B&B atmosphere, this is a wonderful place!

Stayed here for 5 days in May. Very clean rooms and very friendly staff. Free wi-fi connection. The food in the Cafe was very good and the prices were reasonable. Within walking distance is the route 66 historic district, the Visitor's Center and the Grand Canyon Railway Station. The room we booked was so small that we had to ask for an upgrade. They complied without questions.

“A cozy little place, and an enjoyable night”

We really enjoyed our one night here. The rooms are small, but as my girlfriend would say "cute and cozy."
The restaurant is on site, and was hopping the saturday night we stayed. Wireless internet is free, which will cost you at least $10 in a lot of hotels these days.
We paid $76 on hotels.com for early April.
Only 2 pseudo-complaints.
The first was that our room window faced the window of the restaurant kitchen. This meant that from 7-9, we heard every word and evey dish clatter from the kitchen.
The second was that our room was supposed to include breakfast. When we went to the restaurant in the morning, we ordered off the menu and were not told that the breakfast included with the room, was not the breakfast on the menu. The breakfast was still only $5.99 per person + tip...but I would have liked to have known my options before we ordered.

The Lodge was recommended to us by the cowboy that owns the "DeBerge" Leather shop. When the locals like a place,, it must be good! The bed was extra comfortable. We both have back problems and we slept like babies with no pain. The room had all the space we needed, with large TV and ice box. The owners bent over backwards to make our stay pleasant. We are from South Louisiana and they put extra heat in the room thinking we would have problems with the snowy temperature. Thanks Greg, but it felt colder down home when we left (never with snow, of course....LOL). They even put large bottles of body wash and shampoo....no little miniatures that last for one use for their guest..... The only thing that I wished for was a coffee pot in the room for our lazy get-ups!! I understand now that we could have asked and gotten one...OH WELL,,,, NEXT TIME!!!
The last day we were there, we had their special breakfast....YUMMY!!
They will fix it any way you can think of.....and alot of it. "CAN'T BELEIVE WE ATE THE WHOLE THING"!
We were treated like long time friends....and hope to be back some day.

We were a little scared to stay here...can't really tell you why, but we are so pleasantly surprised. The room we stayed in was spacious and cute. If you are looking for luxury, DO NOT stay in Williams. If you are looking for an old fashioned town, this is the place and Inn for you. The location was great, at one end of old Rte 66. The innkeeper was very helpful and gracious. I would stay here again and recommend it.
