This was a wonderful place to visit. A trail took you right into the mine operations and the old buildings. It was refreshingly open, and you could see the vault in the floor of one building, and imagine the framework at the mine head was about to fall in on you. Old pieces of metal roofing on the machine shop creaked in the breeze. It was spooky and educational. Bring biscuits for the two dogs roaming around and a carrot for the burro, or pay a little to feed him cheerios.
